In which Jeff Jarvis gets in the final word on Gary Pruitt

Howard Weaver, newly retired McClatchy VP of News, left an indignant post at Jeff Jarvis' blog Wednesday. Weaver was upset over Jeff Jarvis supposedly misquoting Gary Pruitt. In response to Weaver's over-emotional complaint, Jarvis posts this level-headed analysis of Gary Pruitt:

I apologize then. i did not recall hearing you say that to Dave when I was there. But I have heard Pruitt say similar things at more than one event. I do think that he has at least been very late in recognizing the gravity of the situation.

Jarvis absolutely nailed Pruitt in those brief sentences.
