McClatchy makes list of Top Ten newspaper quotes of 2008
This quote is #6 on the list:
"The McClatchy Co. stock could be worthless." --Morningstar analyst Tom Corbett, writing when McClatchy (NYSE: MNI) shares were trading at about $2. MNI opened Monday at 82 cents a share.
-McClatchy stock, after delisting, pink sheets next- Alan Mutter writes about newspaper stocks: “If the price fails to reach $1 for 30 days in a row, the stock will be banished to the Pink Sheets.”
Anonymous wrote, “McClatchy shareholders should hope against hope that the stock bounces back over $1, thus starting the 30 day clock anew. Delisting is the beginning of the dead-end.”
