This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

The McClatchy Company (NYSE: MNI) today reported that consolidated revenues in November 2008 decreased 19.4% and advertising revenues were down 22.4% compared to revenues in November 2007.
At this rate it will be no time at all before interest eats up their entire net.
Humorous McClatchy jabs: ------------ News Review.com -Will CEO for food- By Matt Coker McClatchy is not outsourcing its top post, but these applicants may make it reconsider. “McClatchy Co.’s new chief executive officer would hire stay-at-home moms….” http://tinyurl.com/5etydy
-Out-CEO-urcing- AD The first version of the ad lists such duties as “bailing water out of a sinking ship, blacking or tearing out bad McClatchy financial news from publications distributed in house (including your own) and dancing while angry board members shoot bullets at your feet.” …. http://tinyurl.com/58t5sk
Gretawire will do anything for ratings. FOX is a right wing one sided news org. I know you all hate the NY Times but compared to The KC Star it is a great paper. At least it takes more than 15 minutes to read on a Sunday.
It is a great paper if you need creative writing classes, but the only claim to being better than the Star is that it would take longer to read. Other than that, it has the same absorbency, so it can't even line a better bird cage.
Now that Christmas is right around the corner, how about a Christmas Wish list...I'd like a job (with benefits), and I'd like to see Gary Pruitt and the wrecking crew get what they deserve.

Hell even Gretawire is jumping on the bandwagon with an invitation to question the integrity of the NY Slime. Looks like hundreds have RSVP'd.
