Hamas propaganda -- "Israeli soldiers are shooting Palestinian kids waving white flags" -- lands on the front page of the Sacramento Bee

Does any sane person believe Israeli soldiers would shoot Palestinian children waving white flags?

McClatchy reporter Dion Nissenbaum regurgitates the latest Hamas claim that Israeli soldiers shot and killed 2 Palestinian children, ages 2 and 7, as they were waving white headscarves at Israeli soldiers. And Nissenbaum says that is not an isolated incident: Israeli soldiers are deliberately shooting at lots of Palestinians waving white flags.
The allegation is one of at least five such white flag incidents that human rights investigators are looking into across the Gaza Strip. It's part of a growing pattern of alleged abuses that have raised concerns that some Israeli soldiers may have committed war crimes during their 22-day military campaign in Gaza.
"The evidence we've gathered in two of the cases so far is exceedingly strong," said Fred Abrahams, a senior researcher with Human Rights Watch working in the Gaza Strip. "All the research so far suggests they shot civilians that were leaving their homes with white flags."
Along with the white flag incidents, Human Rights Watch is calling for an international investigation into widespread charges that Israel prevented medical teams from helping wounded Palestinians trapped in their homes and needlessly demolished hundreds of houses, including dozens in Ezbt Abed Rabbo.
"This was not a rogue unit," said Abrahams. "The needless civilian deaths resulted from concrete decisions made by the military."
Israeli soldiers deliberately killing innocent Palestinians waving a white flag? This flunks the smell test. The only witnesses are Palestinians, and the group pushing the "white flag incidents" issue is the anti-western activist group Human Rights Watch.

Given Dion Nissenbum's history of publishing Hamas propaganda (see links below) he has zero credibility when it comes to reporting on supposed abuses by the Israelis. So I'm not buying it.

I guess the Hamas Bee thinks that the Muslim M/O has been forgotten...Waiving white flags and then ambushing collation troops as part of their battle plan.

Someone just needs to snatch this guy and bring him home in order to try him and his McClatchy masters as traitors. (Slap) What am I thinking? We just hired the terrorists friend as President. Oh well, maybe after he is dispatched we can take care of business. I don't think McClatchy going out of business precludes them from prosecution.

Earlier somebody said McClatchy could save a lot of money by laying off Nissenbaum and just posting a Hamas news feed.

McClatchy is the Hamas news feed. Just the english speaking tentacle.

There is something to be aware of in the foreign news reports about Gaza.

Many contain this statement,
“the latest US-Israeli attack on helpless Palestinians….”

The US- being named first as the attackers.

On more reason I will NEVER buy ANY MNI paper.

After its bankruptcy, may this site report for months and months, details the papers gruesome autopsy, and detailed stories of the retched filth that produced this toilet paper.

Anonymous 11:58 -- This blog will be here to provide the full autopsy report with all the gory details -- toxicology reports, forensic reports, results of drug/aloohol tests, etc

Nissenbaum’s story of course went out to all the McClatchy papers, and then it was quickly picked up by all the liberal anti-Israeli blogs. I think the search entries total nearly a thousand for this one article already. This known biased reporter, has started a story of hate that will be read around the world. The harm that these haters have done is much greater than I even imagined.

Now, I know the harm they did in Iraq as well. I have found the enemy I fear the most.

How does a reporter get away with this biased reporting? Where are the news fact checkers? I did hear a McCrappy joke today.

"McClatchy reporters work in a fact-free zone."

(A bit of interesting information about the incident. The witness is Freeh, and his home had planted land mines.)

“Nasser Abu Freeh was one of the first to see the Israeli soldiers as they entered this [pastoral] Gaza neighborhood

Scouts from the militant Islamist group Hamas also favored the hilltop as a place to watch for approaching Israeli soldiers, and the fighters [tried to lure the Israelis into a trap by planting land mines outside Abu Freeh's home.]”

Pbriggism -- Some phosphorus shells are legal. These are the phosphorus shells Israel is using. Some phosphorus shells are banned and Israel is not using the banned bombs. Dion Nissenbaum was confused on that point just like you seem to be. I blogged about that here.

Would someone please explain the leftist adoration for all things Palestinian. It can't be the way they treat women or gays. It can't be their commitment to diversity. It can't be their theocratic social/legal systems that allows them to stone a girl/woman for adultery or dishonoring her family.

What the hell is it?

When I was reading about Dion the moron, I came across another article of his that doesn’t pass the smell test. The Article title does not match the information. I saw no gaffe. To think millions of people read this rot. Dion was trying to inflame both sides. It has to come to an end.
