This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

The USA is no longer taking little steps toward Socialism, today was a leap. Ask what your government can do for you? Everyone may not like the answer.
Look, you know that a newspaper leans far to the left when it features “Truth To Power” as its tag line. But even they aren’t buying the hopeNchange of the porkapalooza plan Will the stimulus actually stimulate? ……
“I think (doing) nothing would have been better,” said Ed Yardeni, an investment analyst who’s usually an optimist, in an interview with McClatchy…
Frequently, as I did today, I have this happen when I try to view photos on Kansas.com: I click on a photo to view the larger version, but initially I get this.
Could be a browser problem. I've discovered that if I fiddle with the tiny box and find the "next" button, I can get the photo series to appear.
This could be an IE 6 browser quirk, or maybe the Eagle's IT department has dwindled too far.
Could be a browser problem. ------- Used to get that all the time until I started using Fire Fox and installed Ad Aware. Once I blocked all the ads it quit, so I assumed it was something to do with their rotational ad implementations.
I never investigated further however, as I found that the best solution was to never give clicks to a McClatchy paper.

Too bad there's no one speaking truth to power in Washington, D.C., today.
We can't have anybody offending The Messiah, 10:50.
Legislators admit they are voting for a bill they have not read.
Hopey-Changey in action!
All of the above is the real "Truth to Power"
Too late for MNI to take off the lib. blinders. Straight into the iceberg.
Gird those loins, and with "tiller" in hand, full speed into the iceberg

The latest rumor at The Sun News is that up to 30 employees are going to be laid off any time now.
Even McClatchy Isn’t Buying The Stimulus
