Just heard about that today. We're running down a few things to make sure we've got all the facts straight. Should have a post by the end of the day, barring any catastrophes.
Ironic -- the comment from James Hart is in a Crime Scene KC blog post about a DUI arrest of Gary Collins -- including the mug shot.

I don’t even want to think about what she might have said to the arresting officer. Lokeman has a foul mouth in general, so we probably have another ‘Cynthia McKinney’ moment coming our way.
“According to one of the few honest, and decent reporters that the Star has left, they just found out about it this morning.”
That would be one, period.
I hope the arresting officer documented everything in the report. I wouldn't be surprised if she got abusive.
A poster gave this site address earlier, many thanks, and the comments are building into a laugh, a read. This is what the blogosphere is all about. Oh the irony, of a foul mouthed wife getting the ‘STFU’ by her husband, the publisher.
Bhahahahahahahaha

Don't anyone be holding your breath for an acknowledgment in the Star. The reporter may well be honest, but the Star hierarchy is not.
They went to a great deal of trouble to cover this up. There is no way this could have gone unnoticed by the metro desk for more than a week at most. My question is, was the PD involved in not releasing the information in the beginning and if so, at who's bequest.
I, a compassionate conservative, want to look beyond this single event in this persons life and examine the possible causes.
What would drive this woman to drink and then get behind the wheel of an automobile? Isn't she actually a victim here? Her writing has been subjected to hostile examination and criticism. Her personal life has been examined. Her ancestors were slaves. Her sisters have lived in a patriarchal oppressive society with glass ceilings. She lives daily with the suffering of the children in Bangladesh, Dufar, Chad, and Chicago. She sees the passion of the differently gendered and/or oriented ridiculed in print and on the streets.
It is our society that is responsible, not this fine woman. It is our white male dominated capitalist society that creates the causes. It is time to recognize that the chickens are coming home to roost, and it is time for God to damn this country and its evil ways.
That and the fact that she has to sleep with the Z man. What would you do?
hahhaha! Congratulations my friend. They don't give you credit for breaking the story but here it is. ...

How about the KC joke, that a reader complained to Z-man that his little nepotism deal with Lokeman was borderline unethical? Z-man replies, I’m ‘right on top’ this Rhonda complaint.
Lokeman is becoming like the crazy old aunt in the closet.
10:12 Are you just throwing around words again? Just exactly how many times have you had a conversation with her? Yea, never.
Your Bio: Favorite Book. Bible. ???
Wow you broke a story about a DUI.
Lokeman is an embarrassment, what more has to be known about her. She used to write columns full of racial hatred, while decrying racial hatred. What a hypocrite. I hope every city that carries her column, both of them I mean, drop her so-called column.
The Pitch has picked it up, and gave proper credit, also noting that even though the Star claims she is no longer there....She is still listed as an editorial columnist. Seems odd for someone that has been gone for almost a year and no longer a syndicated columnist, anywhere. "The Star, as dishonest as you think."

Well, they still list the food critic as a columnist and she's sadly, deceased.
The blogs in KC get a lot more action than the Red Scar. Everyone I know reads them, and Rhonda the hag, gets a lot of attention. I am sure the heat the Z-man was taking on a daily bases was dragging him down. I think he is toast because he let this embarrassment happen during this horrible layoff time. The decent journalists have a lot to deal with already, and a despicable person like Lokeman, should not be adding to this already stressful time.
The KC Red Star is a joke. No one can deny that now. The hush, hush, about the Lokeman deal is out of the bag for the whole city to see. Don’t think for a minute the newsroom people didn’t resent this little slight of hand deal.
The spin on this story by McClatchy will be amusing. I see the Z-man/Lokeman team leaving the city in a few months. Look at this way, Zee amd RHO will have another place to register to vote!
Bha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha
Z-man is done, stick a fork in him done.
The KC Star employees must be bent into pretzel shapes trying to somehow deal with this Lokeman drama, but stay away from it.
Times are tough enough without this dumb distraction. I hope everyone realizes, if Zieman had just done what he should have in the first place, none of this would have happened. He put his personal comfort first. Whatever income Lokeman brought into his home, is costing the employees now.
What a jerk he is. I can just see him acting all teary when a few more employees are history. There are people in KC that think this Lokeman thing is just the biggest joke. You just can’t have people thinking your paper is a joke.
