Obama hires McClatchy photographer

I think Gearino was the first to point out, when media people take jobs with the Obama administration it's almost like a lateral transfer. Most of these people have been shilling for Obama for a long time so it's only natural they make it official and transfer to Obama's payroll.

The latest McClatchy employee to go to work for Obama is photographer Chuck Kennedy. (More on Kennedy's exciting move here.)

Any predictions on the next McClatchy employee to get a lateral transfer to the Obama administration?

One possibility: the anonymous genius behind McClatchy selling Obama photos, Obama mouse pads, Obama tote bags and Obama aprons could be the ideal candidate to transfer to the White House gift shop.

Oh this blog is so biased! I’m leaving.

You mean, they really hired the trinket guy? They really did? Ok, so maybe all the right wingers on the blog do have a bit on the ball.

Could it be that maybe, MNI is the liberal filth some on this site makes it out to be?

Ok, I’ll stay just one more day. But I’m watching you buster!

Wow! That accounts for all those biased photographs!

Nobody's leaving because the blog is biased. The problem is the constant interjection of the same tired rants into every conversation. Enough already, we get it, McClatchy is liberal and the root of all evil.

NOW can we talk about layoffs?

I understand what you mean. I am sure it does get old.

Perhaps you might look at it like a McClatchy newspaper, from their perspective. There are bits and pieces of very useful information. The problem is, to get that information you have to read a lot of slanted, dishonest innuendo, before you can glean (I love that word) the parts you find useful.

The difference is, to comment, respond, reply or rebut anything in the McClatchy paper, one must pay a price for any hope of doing so, even then, only if they choose to allow it.

Here however, everyone has their voice. This means that YOU, must sort though the rebutals, reactions, complaints, and sometimes dishonest inuendo in order to glean the parts that YOU like.

I know it sucks. But, they have been putting up with it from you, much longer than you have been putting up with it from them. Short of an official apology for their one sided reporting and lying about their objectivity, I don't see this changing in the near future.

This means that your choices are the same as they had from you. As the McClatchy rep in KC once said..."Take the other paper. Haha"

New York’s Hudson Valley is edging perilously close to a news blackout. Just a week after Journal Register Co. pulled the plug on a phalanx of weeklies in the area and the weekly Ulster County Press shut down, two daily newspapers said they will reduce frequency from seven to five days a week. The Catskill-based Daily Mail and Hudson Register Star will publish their final Sunday editions this weekend. Beginning next week, the Sunday and Monday papers will be replaced by a weekend edition published on Saturday. That issue will have all the usual Sunday features, including coupons, USA Weekend and Sudoku. Thank God they kept Sudoku.

Yes, that definitely was an in-house move, no need for redundant paperwork.

9:45 When the layoffs are done "the rants" will be left talking to themselves. Then who cares. We won't.

Yawn… Eric Draper shot for the AP before Bush and Souza was Reagan's before Barry's… Can anyone blame Chuck for wanting a stable job?

Earth to nutcase--When there is information, it will be posted.
I think I am beginning to see why the newspaper business is going down the tubes.

But, they have been putting up with it from you, much longer than you have been putting up with it from them.

Define "you". I am not a journalist, nor am I a Mcclatchy family member or an executive. I have nothing to do with the content of the papers. I'm willing to bet that worker bees far outnumber journalists, both at the papers and on this blog.

I'm just trying to get some information, like a lot of people here. And the wheat/chaff ratio here is just way the hell off.

Liberals should be championing free speech, what is it about the closed minds trying to control the agenda here? Oh no, you mean the liberals really DON’T champion free speech? I am shocked, I tell you, shocked!

Anonymous said...

There is no free speech issue here. Maybe you just need to get more creative...you, my wingnut friend, are boring.

There were plenty of photographs floating around showing Barry smoking cigarettes. Why didn’t we see them on the national news? I did see a picture of McCain’s healed skin cancer spots. Odd that.

"Define "you". I am not a journalist, nor am I a Mcclatchy family member or an executive."

You see, this is what you do not understand. You don't have to be a journalist, McClatchy family member or even an executive. You still represent McClatchy, it's values and it's products no matter and no differently if you are the press room porter or Vice President in charge of Racial Divide. You can't separate yourself from the values of your company no matter how much you might like too.

I'm just telling you how to put it all in perspective from the point of view on the side of extreme dislike for ideological publishing under the guise of "Journalism"

You can't change it. It is a backlash not brought on by you personally, but by that which you represent. I wouldn't take it personal if I were you. Just sort though the stuff you don't like, just like they are forced to sort through yours.

At least here you have a voice. You all don't afford that to them.

Liberal, get over yourself. This was a fine blog before you came here. The goal is to expose the misinformation train wreak, that is McClatchy. When McClatchy is no more, we will continue to expose the shortcomings of the media’s selected president, Barry Soetoro (aka) Barack Obama, if our host so chooses.

Another possible career path for former journalists, while not exactly in journalism, would be to go to work for AP (Advocating Press) as the official panty cleaner for Jennifer Loven. You just knows she wets at least a dozen pairs every time Obama speaks.

I know Chuck Kennedy and he's a damn good photographer and a genuinely nice guy.

In the two years I worked with him, I didn't hear a partisan word out of him. He took good pictures of Bush and before that, he took good pictures of Clinton.

Congrats to Chuck and to the Obama administration for being smart enough to hire him...

Anonymous said...

Did Chuck Kennedy take good pictures of Clinton and Monica?
That’s what I want to know. Everyone had good pictures of Clinton lying his ass off. Heck, now with camera phones, who needs an expensive photographer anyway.
You say, Messiah pictures for the McClatchy trinket sales page. Oh, I forgot about that. Pony up liberals, this is history in the making.

Anonymous said...

I can guarantee you Barry Soetoro (aka) Barack Obama knows Chuck Kennedy will take the very pictures he desires, or he would not be the “Chosen” picture taker. Have you gone daft? Marketing is everything in this administration.

Why do you let this clown spam all your threads Kevin?

When you go through every thread and post your advertising that is called Spam. Even a good McClatchy lackey can't change that. You're reprehensible and unethical, but, that is kind of a persistant state for ya'll now days.

Are you so afraid that you can't stand any other blogs that have to do with McClatchy?

Why would I be afraid? It isn't my blog. It is simply just as unethical as you can get when you start a blog as "an alternative" to another, and then promptly SPAM every thread in that blog you express hope to replace.

Why is that hard for you to understand? Did you ask the man's permission to advertise on his blog? Imagine the outrage if someone had done that to a McClatchy Blog...yet you cannot figure it out. How strange.

Anonymous said...

Mon dieu! I can't bear this anymore. I prefer to take my McClatchy schadenfreude pure, without the base alloy of pernicious right-wing hysteria.
The only entity I revile more than McClatchy at this point is this blog. I'll await my layoff in peace. Goodnight.

Give it up dude. You know the difference between sharing information, posting a link to a story or giving credit where it is due, and what you did.

Never once have you ever seen another blogger come in here and spam every single thread of the guy's blog with your new one, while advertising it as an alternative.

That is cheap and pathetic. The very least you could do is offer an apology but I really don't think you have it in you.

I want to photograph Sarah Phalin nude! OK, that won't happen but I would like to see her with the panties off! She is hot!

Tony Ridder must laugh himself to sleep every night thinking of how dumb McClatchy was to buy the Miami Herald.

Who is dumb enough to buy a newspaper today? The SF Chronicle and Seattle PI are both going to be shuttered within weeks. If the country's in a recession, newspapers are deep into their Great Depression and its terminal.

Sarah Phalin nude and people getting their jobs cut. What are the connections here?

I try and find the blog useless, at least I used to. But now? Come on.
