This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

This ad by Career Builder, part owned by McClatchy, was rated #13
What did you think of this ad? I thought it was a dud, but what do I know?... my favorite, the "I'm good" ad for Pepsi Max, was rated #20. . .

Careerbuilder's attempt at humorous, clever commercials has always failed miserably, in my opinion. This ad was no different.
USA Today used a hand picked group of 288 voters. The Wall Street Journal has tens of thousands of voters who rated the Career Builder spot dead last by a huge margin.
I thought it was funny, but not for the reason they want. It is funny because they spent all that money, their owners are going down the tubes, and it isn't going to translate into one thin dime.
You people have no sense of humor. Talk about cranky old farts! ---- Not true. The Monster.com ad was great. So were many of the others. The Career Builder ad just wasn't funny. It was also cheap.

I thought it was the funniest commercial of the day. The boss getting it in the nads was hilarious too.

It was a very poor ad.
Hitting an animal is never good.

The woman screaming looks like Melanie Sill. They must have been on a real tight budget.
