Opinion page editor at The Sun News says his job was eliminated

Well, it isn't like McClatchy opinion pages have any sort of useful control anyway. It isn't like it could become less responsible without them.
It's a fitting end if it isn't just blowing smoke. At McClatchy I wouldn't put it past them to eliminate the title, "Opinion Page Editor" and just change it to, "Secretariat of Analysis"

Anyone read his coulmn and know what kind of advice this hack would have given himself?
Opinion page writers are a doomed specie anyway. All editorials in the near future will be written by citizen journalists who work for free.
