Rhonda Lokeman removed from KC Star web site

Better late than never. Nick at Will Not Be Televised says the KC Star finally scrubbed Rhonda Lokeman from the Star's website.
It is worth noting that over the weekend [ after one very public arrest on suspicion of DUI; one very, very private legal hearing, and 113 days after she last penned a column for The Star ] Rhonda Lokeman’s visage quietly disappeared from The Star’s web presence.

The timing is hilarious; right after The Star raised the newsstand price of a Sunday paper by .50¢ and right before it raises home delivery prices by 15%.

There are several good comments in Nick’s article. So the proceedings were kept very private, wouldn’t there still be a court transcript?

Court transcripts are very expensive, but court proceedings are not supposed to be "very private". Clearly it would appear that the fix was in before they reached the courtroom.

I note that The Star has also finally removed Lewis Diuguid's VP designation. Interestingly, Steve Winn is no longer listed as a columnist on the drop down menu although he is still listed as a columnist on the editorial page. Clicking that link however takes you nowhere.

One gets the feeling that the website folks are rebelling in their own private ways. Passive/Agressive personalities seem to abound in the news business.

The Star’s web page looks like a shoestring operation. I doubt anyone wanting news would be interest in the AP’s garbage. Local news would be the only thing of interest, and if that is bastardized as well, why bother at all. You can’t feel sorry for the Star, it has fallen into the gutter, and it will never come out clean. Wouldn’t it have better to just do their reporting job honestly? Then moving to the web would have been a natural progression. Now, the remaining employees are overrun with misfits and losers without much of a chance at anything, IMO.

I was finding (TKC) too shrill lately myself, scratch him off my KC blog list. The swipes he took at the tax tea parties were totally unwrapped.

Liberal Blogger Alert: Tony's Kansas City

“When Tony's Kansas City (TKC) first started it was an amusing blog where people could go to and get an occasional laugh or opinion on Kansas City, it was a blog you would check during the day to see the happenings' in KC and maybe enjoy a witty comment.
Unfortunately, it has now turned into a blog that would make the Daily Kos envious. It is flat out liberalism spewed on a day-to-day basis.”

Does anyone know if the private court proceeding will eventually be available at: https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/cases?

I watched the video of Zieman bailing out his drunken wife. That must have been embarrassing for him. Lokeman was acting like an insane person in the paddy wagon. Perhaps she was a coming off her high, but man, what can you say to driving on three tires? I am not sure hammered is the right word for her degree of drunkenness. She was speaking in tongues no less.

You don't even need to read their paper to get a contextual feel for MNI. (touchy, feely words so the left can understand my comments)

All you need do is look at the blithering idiots running the show to fully understand what a collective mess these MNI hacks really are.

Once more, like the drunk driver that she is, lokeman tried to slither away in the dark of the night. How fitting, and what a fitting end to her stellar career.

I wonder how she'll celebrate retirement?

Well thank God. Maybe now the rest of us who don't give a hoot about Rhonda and her story won't have to put up with the constant barrage of posts and comments about it.

5:50 I just can't tell you how sorry we are that you're just not happy here. Perhaps if you could provide us with a list of approved topics, and approved approaches to discussing those topics we could work harder at making you happy.

No, wait, that's a newspaper, this is a blog tough *&%$ Sport, you're just going to have to wade through what the folks here want to talk about.

Man I punctuate for crap. I really need a good copy editor.

Jon, you Da Man. Oh and lokeman will be spoken about her often!

Sorry pal, Rhonda represents everything that is evil in journalism. Dishonestly using the KC Star as a tool to continue her venom was a serious offense. When she gets her DUI sentence, and it is not a farce, it may end my interest. However, that is only if she does not write her foul mouthed garbage ever again.

It is difficult to believe we are talking about Rhonda Lokeman, a classically trained professional journalist with the highest ethical standards.

Bwhahahahaha

TKC- Tony also didn’t like the Lokeman videos the Pitch offered. He said they were a flop. This is what happens when people start selecting what is news for you. I think the original video has been viewed over 1500 times. Someone wanted to see what a drunken fool Lokeman is.

Tony's probably trying to get in her pants. Disgusting I know, but no other woman in KC would screw him.
