This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Come on Fort Worth & Kansas City - you guys haven't given us good stuff to read in weeks. We are desperate for good stuff out here in CA!
Nothing new in Fort Worth. Sorry though that I won't whine about Marxism and the left wingers like the literary wingnuts on here do. I work in retail (non-major or national) and sales are up year over year. Commissions still very good.
Twice the newspaper has been delivered markedly late in Myrtle Beach since The Sun News farmed out its printing to Charleston two weeks ago. One of those times, on the first Sunday, several sections of the paper were missing including A, B and C.
Obama’s UK TOTUS speech didn’t impress everyone. Be sure and read a couple of the comments. Odd the liberal media didn't find one person to quote who found Barry boring at best. -------- Two Writers From Across the Pond Comment on Obamassiah's Speeches @ http://www.kcnewswatch.com/ --------- Telegraph co. uk - Iain Martin Barack Obama really does go on a bit http://tinyurl.com/d92bmo
Comments: “But I'll wager that within a year or so he'll be marked down as a wind-bag."
“You are not alone "in finding him increasingly to be something of a bore."
Nice comment about the golden arches, surely you are some whiney, bitter journalist. Please continue to stew in your own diminishing self worth while we continue to pull in $2K+ monthly commissions.
gary pruitt's tombstone will surely read: "bought high." big mistake.... but 2 minutes with romenesko -- any day -- makes it clear mcclatchy's plight is gruesomely typical and pruitt's name is only one on the long list of those (me included) who havent begun to figure out how to turn buggywhips into buicks (priuses?).... i worked for kr in its last years, when it was top-heavy, clumsy and intrusive, and i way prefer mcclatchy even in these worst of times. -- lew powell (laid off after 34 years at the charlotte observer)

Woo Hoo Big Hitter. You must be selling that new rag that has two ads in it called dfw.com. Congrats on blasting other people when they are down with your big commission. Be careful...you may not have a job next week or go back to work and try and save your paper.
Last I heard from ex-coworkers at the S-T the DMN wil start printing the WSJ by the end of June. What does that tell you about the future of 685 John B. Sais Mem. Parkway.
