This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

SHOCK: Turkish TV mocks Obama by putting on black face...
Remember the ‘Change’ chant that Obama would ‘Change’ the way other countries see the USA? Well, the love is overflowing already. Turkish news reader in black face paint mocking the teleprompter president. It will be interesting to see how the Lame Stream Media spins this little love story.
“THE real climax of President Osama’s [Spring Apologies Tour] wasn't his photo op with our troops in Baghdad or even his ["American Guilt" concerts] in Western Europe. While fans in the press cheered wildly at every venue, the real performance came in Turkey. And it was a turkey. Obama means well. Just as Jimmy Carter, his policy godfather, meant well. But the road to embassy takeovers and strategic humiliation.” ----------- Reality sets in, even the biased MSM is finding it difficult to hide the truth these days.
NYT - From 700 to 30 journalists? No job security there. **** Reuters CEO: Why does NYT need 700 journalists? New York Observer "Why not 30 journalists with 30 apprentices?" asks Thomson Reuters CEO Tom Glocer. He says papers like the Times have to cut costs by concentrating on their strongest coverage. "That view that 'I am The New York Times and I do everything' -- I think that's not the best way to run a newspaper." http://tinyurl.com/cxqqre
The Pro-Obama MSNBC ran a little poll recently. Their lefties seem to have let them down, or have seen the light? Anyone giving odds on how many times this poll will be cited by the MSM?
Give President Obama a grade A 30% B 6.4% C 5.4% D 14% F 43%
Jeff Jarvis is taking some heat for standing tall, and telling it like it is. There is no biased media formula for that. How dare he! ------ “Forget the monopoly thinking. Newspapers are no more monopolies these days than ice cream parlors.
If information is the business, they are not monopolies.
If advertising messages are the business, then newspapers certainly are not monopolies.
If Phil Meyer’s term from The Vanishing Newspaper, the advertising “tollgate” is the test, newspapers certainly don’t control that tollgate anymore.”
I feel sorry for all of you people that continue to rail on Obama. You whine every day like little babies yet offer no solutions to counter what he has been doing.
Even better is when you children reply back it is usually void of any facts and filled with nothing with Thesaurus type words. Like that's supposed to impress us. We get it, you're an intellectual.
The moderator of this blog should open up a daycare facility so you whiners can all meet every day and complain about Obama.
Sad voter says, “rail on Obama” or maybe offer a little balance? Odd that only the praise is news, the contrary opinions are whining. Keep that line of thinking going, it will comfort you as you circle the drain. Buh-bye!
These posts just look like newspaper articles to me. Where is the whining? I guess the left is so accustomed to kid gloves, all dissent must be squelched. Look where that tact got us?
Michelle touched Queen Elizabeth II. SHE TOUCHED QUEEN ELIZABETH II!! However, her perfect pink nail polish matched the bedspread on her body, and her buff muscles glistened off Queen Elizabeth’s glasses. What a perfect gaffe to end the day. You can take the girl out of South Chicago, but Rev. Wright’s influence is forever. Pinch Queeny, Michelle, she’s a nobody. -------- “Although very endearing, it was totally inappropriate for First Lady Michelle Obama to touch Queen Elizabeth II.” www.huffingtonpost.com
Here is another newspaper just whining away. I make the motion that all these whining newspaper that dare criticize “Bam” just go bankrupt. Do I have a second? -------- The Most Polarizing President Washington Post, by Michael Gerson
“Who has been the most polarizing new president of recent times? Richard Nixon? Ronald Reagan? George W. Bush? No, that honor belongs to Barack Obama.”
Unless tourists can drive little green hybrid cars to Hawaii, I say, no can do, too much jet fuel. Until those jets run on batteries, there is no way to justify a vacation in the middle of the ocean.
It is so amusing that Barry has made a mission of embarrassing companies into curtailing all business travel, but he surely didn’t mean to Hawaii, did he? === Hawaii, suffering tourism drop, appeals to Obama Lawrence K. Ho / Los Angeles Times ------ Winter hotel occupancy rates in Hawaii fell to a five-year low at Waikiki Beach on Oahu. State officials urge the president to block any policies that would limit business travel.
Those Obama trinkets gaining in value any time soon? Is MNI still hawking these things? ------------------ -New York in the Obama Year- American Thinker by Natalie Bostick
“Did you hear the one about the Manhattan socialite who started paying her housekeeper in Obama memorabilia? It would be funny if it weren't true. Said New Yorker gave her (illegal) employee a commemorative Obama inaugural issue of Time Magazine with the advice to "take it home and put it in foil. In 40 years it will be very valuable."
“Source-greaser’ - ‘beat-sweetner’- ploys to get to Barry O’s Team! ------ A Beat-Sweetener Sampler The unreliable narrator's guide to Obama's new team. By Timothy Noah
This is the season of the beat-sweetener. A beat-sweetener (some prefer the term source-greaser) is a gratuitously flattering profile that a reporter writes about a government official in the hope that it will encourage (or, at the very least, not impede) that reporter's access to the official in question. http://www.slate.com/id/2215702/
Lifetime job guarantees - Worthless perhaps? ----- @Romenesko Globe union tells members about NYT demands Boston Business Journal Perhaps most controversial, the Times wants to do away with lifetime job guarantees for Globe employees who were on board when the Taylor family sold the paper to the Times in 1993.
"How long and how hard we negotiate is based on your feedback tonight," union president Daniel Totten told Guild members at a Wednesday meeting.

It is a little pathetic, isn't it? Still, remember that these folks are an embattled political minority. Most Americans are stepping up.

Forget this crap and tell me about Michelle's sweater or buff arms. Hard news that we need and want (but will not pay for).
Excellence in journalism. What are the TV shows Obama watches? Throw some truth at the power.
