The Union-Tribune seems to go that extra mile to make sure laid off employees have a more difficult time finding another job. Any light bulb moments for liberal journalists yet? --------- -San Diego paper tells staffers they can't recruit colleagues to competing news orgs-
VoiceofSanDiego.org Randy Dotinga says the Union-Tribune's policy appears to put a crimp in any employee's plans to create or join a rival company -- such as an online news site -- and bring recent colleagues on board, even those without jobs. Dotinga notes that today is the last day of work for many of the 192 employees laid off by the paper earlier this month.

I'd like to see them try to stop anyone who tries, especially after having resigned or been laid off. Just proves that the Union-Tribune is running scared.
