This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Blethen family finally unloads their Maine newspapers
Story here. The price for the newspapers wasn't disclosed, but it is believed to be far less less than the family paid for them.
"Last week, 31 people who are not represented by unions, including many senior managers, were notified they would not be retained by Maine Today Media. Connor said [future cuts might cost 100 more employees their jobs."]
The old family dynasty thingy is about done. Too bad the McClatchy dynasty is still backing the Pru, he and they, are dinosaurs of the first order. They deserve distinction, but a lot of employees are witnessing their own demise at the hands of old relics from the past, and it ain’t pretty.

That's some good investigative reporting there, Lou.
