Making protesters look bad... sometimes

Jammie Wearing Fool has a post on how the media makes protesters look bad -- selectively. Click here for the story.

Never let a crisis, or in this case, "Smearing Real Americans" go to waste.

There was also a vast difference in how the interviews were handled. On the report I saw only interviews that made the protesters look stupid were shown. I don't know which company did the interviews, but their agenda was quite obvious.

My favorite was the Obama arena photos where the media pretended that indoor arenas were being filled to the brim with people.

Looked great until the pictures were published from the rear seats and you saw the only crowd was the first two floor rows and the people staged as a back drop for the Messiah.

I actually quit journalism over a similar stunt where the newspaper wanted a group of the Phelps family to look like hoards of their minions protesting Ronald Reagan.

I always thought that once people found out the truth about what the media had become, things would have to change for the better. Man was I ever wrong. It just got worse and worse.

Svetozar Stojanovic documented the implosion of communism in several books, and he referred to what you're describing as mendacious consciousness. In essence, the communists always continued to lie about what was going on to the very end, they knew they were lying, you knew they were lying, but the fact that they could stand there and lie gave comfort to those who supported the old regime.

We see this in our own Stalinist media day in and day out. The story I posted written by Joe Lambe is a perfect example of trying to cover up the misconduct of their totalitarian liberal fellow travelers. Without his students being able to create a Facebook group and the alternative media and Fox News, this would have been just another non human buried behind the iron curtain of the establishment media.

Only after the guy got his job back, no thanks to anyone in the establishment press, and only long after it was anything resembling the news, did The Star write anything, and then only to trash the guy.

There you go again, John, finding a conspiracy where there is none. This story is no more an example of the "Stalinist media" than any of the others you've gotten all excited about in the past.
