Poll of the day

A Gallup Poll says conservatives are now the single largest ideological block in the country.

Thus far in 2009, 40% of Americans interviewed in national Gallup Poll surveys describe their political views as conservative, 35% as moderate, and 21% as liberal. This represents a slight increase for conservatism in the U.S. since 2008, returning it to a level last seen in 2004. The 21% calling themselves liberal is in line with findings throughout this decade, but is up from the 1990s.

Uh, where were all these people during last November's election, when the Senate's most liberal senator was elected president?

I agree with Richard Geno: The Brand is Tarnished but the Principles are Solid

The chart below shows the poll results since 1992. Click to enlarge.

Conservatives say, "I told you so."
The Obama-rama’s phony stimulus package money is rolling right along. Get this, 8000 deceased, as in dead, seniors received stimulus payments. The half-white/half-black Chicago thug says to forgetaboutit! His latest easy money slush fund goes rogue, and Fast Eddy just looks the other way. The ‘I told you so’ folks are mad as hell. Tea Party anyone?

Conservatives just weren't down with the out-of-touch Republican platform and its candidate - John "Wishywashy" McCain. They blew the election big time and have shot themselves in both feet ever since. Now a big chunk of conservatives don't want to be associated with the Repubs and call themselves "moderates" or "independents."

The conservatives stayed home. John McCain did not inspire anyone.

Hello, the 80's want their rant back. Give it up. You're a racist loser. Try to help make things work instead of being a crybaby.

Actually Obama is doing their work for them. Notice the leftists don't even try and deny that Socialism is the goal anymore?

Personally I think Hugo Chavez declaring Comrade Obama more Socialist than he is took the wind out of their sails all together.

Of course his world apology tours I & II combined with taxing Middle Income American's out of their health care and making them pay for the Hood Rats has pretty much killed the Independent support.

One way or another though, it is going to take extraordinary action to unravel everything he is doing to this country.

If conservatives can come up with a rallying candidate, Obama's days are numbered. It only takes a charismatic candidate to beat back socialism. The votes are out there, will somebody please step up?

-----------

You will not see a viable candidate appear until the last minute because the leftists would start to smear and attack them immediately.

By the time the next elections roll around, as long as it isn't another liberal like McCain any one will be able to beat Obama.

anon 4:16,

Please tell me: in what way is "half-white/half-black" relevant to ANYTHING?

Please hurry with your answer.

"Please tell me: in what way is "half-white/half-black" relevant to ANYTHING?"

Well, a "Chicago thug" could be any thug out of thousands of thugs in Chicago.

A "half-white/half-black Chicago thug" could only be Barack Obama.

Really dumb question.

Re: Half-white-half-black Chicago thug-

I can’t say for sure, but the corrupt media only referred to Zero as the first black candidate, and that was very erroneous, he is half-white-half black. Our poster is more correct than the Lame Stream Media, and you question the poster? Why don’t you question the lying media? Someone has to correct them, and our poster starts here. That is fine with me.

You say, 'stimulus package'
I say, 'sucker package'

Re: “Please hurry with your answer.”

No one here owes you an answer at all, and the request to hurry?
Get over yourself!

While newspaper and network TV media are extremely biased, they've actually pushed more people and voters toward conservative voices - O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc. Ratings for those voices are going up at amazing ratios. Keep it up liberal press!
