-Comedy, Bullies, and American Politics-
American Thinker
by Rosslyn Smith

Saul Alinsky taught two generations of American leftists to use ridicule as a potent political weapon. When the left infiltrated America's entertainment outlets, the practice achieved industrial scale. As I read about the ongoing controversy about David Letterman's vicious attack on Sarah Palin's 14 year old daughter, my first thought was that I wasn't surprised.

Only the truly brain-dead have not started to see the consequences of electing a dishonest man as our president. He started his deception and lies with a flip-flop on taking private campaign funds, and his lies and cronyism continues to this day. Now, The IG, Gerald Walpin, of Americorps gets fired for outing an Obama contributor’s shady deal. Is there no end to the corruption the press tries to conceal?

Obama’s Americorps scandal —
and the First Lady’s meddling
By Michelle Malkin

President Obama is hoping you won’t notice his abrupt change of inspectors general over at Americorps, the government-run, taxpayer-subsidized “community service” boondoggle…

With intervention from Michelle Obama, the Americorps inspector general was given the boot and replaced — for doing his job too well, it seems, and uncovering squandering of funds by favored contributors, educational institutions, and left-wing groups.

President Barack Obama plans to fire the inspector general who investigates AmeriCorps and other national service programs amid a controversy between the IG and Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, who is an Obama supporter and former NBA basketball star.

On Thursday, Obama said in a letter to Congress that he had lost confidence in Walpin. Neither the president nor deputy White House press secretary Josh Earnest would give details.

Obama tells a whopper! Read my nicotine enhanced blue lips:

"I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."
--Sen. Barack Obama, campaigning in Dover, Del., on Feb. 4, 2009

Well, you can pretty much toss that aside. House Democrats and administration officials are now working on the details of their proposed health-care industry overhaul; and the effect on your wallet is going to be significant.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Rep. Charles Rangel, Democrat from New York, told Laura Litvan of Bloomberg that the cost of the overhaul will exceed $1 trillion. That figure will come from a combination of [$600 billion in tax increases] and $400 billion in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid.
