2nd straight day for the Kansas City Star to avoid putting anything about Iran on the front page. This is interesting to many people as I hear quite a bit from people chattering on this subject.

Are they following the requests by the Iranian Government on silence on this subject??

4:30, of all the crazy conspiracy theories that have been expounded on this site, this wins the prize as the looniest. Get a life!

Anonymous said...

Your right 5:01. Newspapers shouldn't carry any National News. That's for the National News press and media outlets.

Other than CNN and USA Today, who else?

Anonymous said...

5:05 You mean International News in International News Papers?

Dave D. said...

...5:01, you're right of course, why would anyone every expect to find the news in the Star. And why would Kansans want to know anything about Iran ?

Anonymous said...

5:01 was referring to the loony conspiracy theory that the paper was following orders from the Iranian government, not the lack of international news, you idiots.

So they too vote, "present." What a shock

I noticed the lefties always fall back on calling the gathering evidence that the Lame Stream Media worked in lockstep to elect the unqualified ACORN worker president, a conspiracy. Of course, the drumbeat/echo constant, of unfounded attacks on Gov. Palin were called something else.
Newspapers decided to throw their hats in the ring for one fraud, ignoring vital questions even a cub reporter would ask. Defending the Despot that Zero has become is getting more difficult by the day. What a spot for the Democrats, the ‘Street’ better known as voters, are finally seeing the ‘Light’ and it is not good for the person still hooked on nicotine.

WE'RE NOT BIAS, JUST ASK BROKAW

During Healthcare 'Special' ABC Refuses Paid Ads That Oppose Obamacare

So, not only is ABC not planning to include opposing voices to President Obama's health care proposals during its special presentation next week -- though ABC does claim "those in the audience" will ask questions of the president -- it is refusing to even allow groups that oppose Obamacare to purchase paid-for advertisements to air during the healthcare special.

The McClatchy DC and foreign bureaus are useless. We have posters here that guess Hamas is footing the bill for them to stay on the declining payroll. If MNI wasn’t so in-the-tank for Obama who apparently is Muslim by birth, while they crucified anyone that dared even suggest such a thing, I would scoff at such a theory, but as the truth of their dishonest reporting is made known, nothing is beyond investigation. The watchdogs have become lapdogs, and their constant yapping is getting them farther down the path toward bankruptcy, and disappearance from the news scene. Good riddance!

,,,unfounded attacks on Gov. Palin,,,

Got any specific news articles you can point us to so we can determine for ourselves whether they are "attacks" or just reporting what she said and did and others' comments on what she said and did?

Because of Twitter, traditional news organziations can't afford to be lazy or continue to ignore their readers, says MarketWatch founder Larry Kramer. "Form matters as much as substance now. News consumers want news on demand and in formats that work for them. They know a tweet is real-time and they like its precision and efficiency."

"Jon Stewart "turned himself into a caricature"
===
Garber calls Jon Stewart's attack on CNN "a rare misstep"
CJR.org

By criticizing CNN for using social networking sites to report information from Iran, Jon Stewart "turned himself into a caricature: he fashioned himself as the crotchety Luddite who opposes new media platforms not on their merits, but because they’re new," says Megan Garber. Stewart's attack on CNN was "a rare misstep for The Daily Show's normally trenchant media criticism," she adds.

ABC Nightly News hit all-time low ratings this week. Hmmm.

Speaking of Barry Soetoro, his former drug habit, and his current nicotine habit, would make him pay higher healthcare costs if his takeover plan was equal for all citizens. Ain’t that a hoot? Rumor has is, he gets his smokes at the PX by highly paid curriers, at very low prices. (The old taxes for thee) Wouldn’t we like to know the truth about that? Not likely any crack reporter will follow-up on anything unfavorable to
King BO BO. Wouldn’t you think the press would insist on seeing his lung exam? Instead they accepted a small note from a doctor that said he was in good health. Of course, these same honest reporters, demanded to see the birth certificate of Gov. Palins baby? Anyone defending this sort of journalism is lost, and deserves to be in the ranks of the unemployed forever.

Apparently you share his remarkable inability to recognize sarcasm.

Man, you need to look up your own facts. There have been references to the biased attack on Gov. Palin for months. Even several newspapers admit their bias. You need to change your stock liberal talking points. Keyboard on the liberal sites where they still have their heads in the sand if you insist on dishonesty. You are so far back in our discussions, it would bore us to try and bring you up to date. Where have you been anyway? Try Google for a start, you will see millions of articles on both sides of the question. We don’t need to educate you, if that is even possible.

In response to: “Got any specific news articles you can point us to so we can determine for ourselves…”

Anonymous said...

Aside from all of the B.S. listed in the previous thoughts, has anyone heard anything resembling facts as to how the "great bond swap" is going?? It has been awfully quiet. (nothing, so far, on MW) This could mean that it fell on its face and more budget cuts will be in order OR it is successful and the workers have nothing to worry about for another month until the quarterly report comes out.

Anonymous said...

////Try Google for a start, you will see millions of articles on both sides of the question.///

Well, then, there's no problem, is there? You read the sites you trust; the rest of us will read the sites we trust.

======================

If it had been "successful" the flood of press releases would have been flowing like wine after the 8th.

It looks as though they will be waiting for earnings to report it along with the parking lot deal.

I will put in a couple of calls to see if anyone has the word, but, I seriously doubt it.

Re: “You read the sites you trust; the rest of us will read the sites we trust.”

Did you miss the part, “articles on both sides of the question”? That is the major problem with the liberal deadheads. They are still stuck on stupid. Only reading the biased news gets you nothing but out of work, and higher taxes. The posters here are so far ahead of you in adult discussion, but do stay, you might learn something, and you may have a real job someday. In about two honest paychecks, you will realize what honest people are trying to tell you, but then again, maybe you won’t.

“DNC CONTROLS DETROIT, GUESS WHAT?”

We should compare how many people are killed in Detroit to Iraq. The Democrats don’t seem to care about their pets except at election time. Their usual request for more money and gun controls, don’t seem to be working. Revamping the Detroit downtown area was working until the thugs took over. Now the cry is for more police, via the ‘sucker package’ and that has made the ‘black on black’ crime our problem again, even though we have bankrolled these same folks for years. Without honesty, nothing will ever ‘Change’ for these people. Their 98% racist voting record sealed their fate. I guess even a half/black ACORN worker is attractive to the uninformed, black Democrats. Who could blame anyone for trying to escape from a hellhole?

Yeah, FOX is biased, but ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSDNC, etc are not biased for the Obamababoon.

"ABC's Troubling Political Donations"

Meanwhile, approximately 130 ABC employees gave money to Obama. That's close to a 33 - 1 ratio. Yet, ABC officially announced that they and they alone would manage what questions were asked of Obama about his program, including from the audience.

Cable News Ratings: Fox News Channel Still On Top. Fox News Channel was once again the top-rated cable news network with more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined.

The nitwit liberals that try to isolate and insult Fox News are only making fools of themselves. Trying to insult people who trust Fox News is just more proof of how ridiculous the Democrats have become. The DNC controls hundreds of stations, and that still is not enough thumbs in the eyes of voters. What are they so scared of, the truth coming out for a change?

Then there's no problem, right? Right-wingers have a source they like, and they know that their views are beyond doubt, so they can stop worrying about what McClatchy or anyone else reports or opines.

Anonymous said...

Nice to see 2:43pm admit that McClatchy rags are liberally biased.

Anonymous said...

When McClatchy falls this year, I can't wait to say "Timberrrrrr!!!"

Truth Hurts said...

"Then there's no problem, right?"

I'd encourage you to ask this question to McClatchy, the NY Times, and the rest of the MSM.

They're unlikely to agree.

Anonymous said...

...Nice to see 2:43pm admit that McClatchy rags are liberally biased....

2:43 said no such thing. The choice isn't between "liberally biased" on one hand and right-wing biased on the other. It's between right-wing biased Faux, Limbaugh, Hannity, et al, and professional, nonpartisan newspapers and news organizations (such as McClatchy's Washington bureau) that do their human best to present news solidly reported and in context. You may not like to acknowledge it, but it's true. But if you don't think so, by all means continue getting your "information"
from Faux, Limbaugh, and Hannity.

Anonymous said...

5:01, spare me your Hard Left-wing delusions. 95% of the MSM does not promote news, but rather a Far Left agenda. McClatchy, especially the DNC-controlled Washington bureau, continue to run pro-Obama propaganda very similar to what Goebells ran for Adolph Hitler.

To discount that McClatchy is not in the tank for the Radical Left, you must be residing in a insane asylum.

While you're at it, look at how many McClatchy papers endorsed the Obamababoon in comparison to McCain. If you continue to deny it, you must be watching too much MSDNC, CNN, ABC, CBS, etc. and other Leftish outlets that pretend they're unbiased sources of information.

If you are going to be a Nazi at least learn how to spell the name of Hitler's propaganda minister. You must have been a former pressman at some McClatchy newspaper. Seig Heil.

This is a right wing blog.

I can't believe you know so little about business.

I wish someone would start one about why McClatchy continues to impload.

Could it have something to do with Corporate Greed and people hiring their high school sweethearts and lovers on the job to management positions. I think so my friends.

Most of these people are dumber than dirt and they are running the ship, If you ask them a question related to the job, they look like they are dumbfounded.

Yes, I get it. This is a right-wing blog, which has this former McClatchy employee saying: what the F***! The people running my former paper, the publisher, managing editor, ad managers, etc, were all Republicans, one with a Harvard degree. Am I missing something here? These were the people who "understood business." And their goal? Protect their own jobs and screw innovative ideas, like bringing in writing talent or charging for Internet access. They are the ones who called the paper a "product" and readers "customers" like we were turning out ball bearings. My former publisher turned off half the lights in the composing room to save money and is now cruising off the coast of Italy in a $24 million megayacht. The demise of newspapers is not a partisan issue, for God's sake. If you think it is, then you must still have one of the very few corporate jobs remaining. I will keep this simple so some people can understand: greed is not ALWAYS good.

John Altevogt said...

I first started listening to Limbaugh he had a policy of putting liberals who called in first in line. What I found was that after listening to his show I knew more about BOTH sides of an issue than I ever got from the nightly news.

In addition, he would cover things that I never heard about on the nightly network propagandacasts. So not only was I better informed on both sides of the issues the propagandacasts covered, I also knew about issues they didn't want us to know about. I think it was August of 1992 when it became obvious that the network propagandacasts were in the bag for Clinton. I prided myself on being able to sort out the wheat from the chaff and what became clear was that there was no wheat on the networks. I stopped watching and haven't seen one since. No reason to. They don't inform, they misinform. If you watch them you're in a hole you have to dig yourself out of. Liars. Absolute liars.

I don't recall seeing the name of Axelrod in Hitler's cabinet. Sounds Jewish to me. Are you sure it wasn't Limbaugh? Not that sounds German.

If it makes you feel any better, 24 million is an entry level composite S/Y less than 130' not an M/Y. Also, if you'll give the name I will send a shout out. That is where we are compliments of shorting McClatchy.
