This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Liberals say cartoons about NĂ˜bama are not funny, really? --------- Changing cartoons bring changing reader reaction SCOTT AYERS - THE BELLINGHAM HERALD
We are currently receiving and publishing a lot of cartoons poking fun at President Obama and his stances on issues, and some readers are none too happy about it. In the past few weeks I have received several phone calls and e-mails upset with some of the cartoons we publish. A few have threatened cancellation because they believe the cartoons reflect a bias from me, or this newspaper, against President Obama. Several have said that the cartoons prove our "conservative bias" and that we are just "parroting Fox News."

Came across this quote this morning and it reminded me of what they say about statistics:
“(Heath) used to smoke marijuana on a regular basis, like probably 50 percent of Americans,” cinematographer Nicola Percorini revealed to Vanity Fair.
Of course, if half the Board of Directors is passing the bong around during meetings that might explain a lot.

Seattle news website calls it quits
Starting up a news website is brutal. Just ask Keith Vance.
Only a few months after launching The Seattle Courant, Editor and Publisher Vance is calling it quits.

So the political writer at The Olympian has quit to become a speechwriter for the liberal democratic governor.
She must have been impressed by his objective reporting, huh?
