Where is the Obama-Rama? The Chicago ‘uptick’ in violence of black on black crime needs the attention of the ‘unifier.’ At the very least, Rev. Wright could give up a round of golf in his new white neighborhood to brainstorm about the problem. The victim was stabbed in the heart. All knives must be confiscated, so the bloodshed stops! The Rev. says the ‘Jews’ won’t let him talk to Barry, so his paycheck coming out of South Chicago is in jeopardy. Barry says, This is party night at the White/Black House. I have hors d'oeuvres to order. Bro, your problems are below my pay scale.

Chicago Violence Endangers Vital Blood Supply
Pamela Jones CHICAGO (CBS) ―

There is a real emergency for a county hospital emergency room. The uptick in violence is literally draining the blood supply. And as CBS 2's Pamela Jones reports one specific blood type is running dangerously short.

"I lost a lot of blood, so they had to give me a lot of blood for me to get back on my toes," said De'London Smith [smip] stabbed through the heart...

Howard Weaver writes he will blog less, and Twitter more. He says, “..the 140-character frame of Twitter seems to fit both my mood and my schedule.”

The 140-character frame would have always been better for the old blowhard, IMO.

This is yesterday's news, actually, it's probably older than that, but sine we're competing with newspapers, I've probably got a couple of days to spare.

More good news from the TV crowd. Both c-BS and ABC news hit new all time lows. Three cheers.

How is it the so-called journalists counted every dead body in Iraq, but can’t seem to count the bodies of the dead in Chicago? Is it because in Chicago they are called voters?

SPECIAL REPORT: More Newspapers Drop Print Editions -- And Now Online Must Carry the Day

By Joe Strupp ET

NEW YORK When The Item of Sumter, S.C., dropped its Monday print edition in April, it wasn't a simple matter of posting that day's news on its Web site.

Managing Editor Chip Chase also had to move Monday's comics and other feature columns online, too, and publish Monday's obituaries and police reports in the Tuesday print edition — requiring twice the usual space for those items.

Chase had his lone reporter on Sundays post news briefs online and write print stories for the following Tuesday. He also had to realign the Item's enterprise stories and packages so that they no longer begin or end on a Monday.

As if that weren't enough, he also had to create a new Monday feature for the Web in order to draw readers online.

Re: Party night at the White House
What a guy Barry Soetoro is! If he leaves the mean, old sourpuss out, and really gets down, man, it’s a cracking good party.

-The President Packs the Press Corps-
Running a ringer from the "internets" into a Presidential press conference frightens the WH press corps.

Would Zero do such a thing? Did anyone faint during the phony press conference? It worked back in the day!

ABC becomes the 'All Barack Channel'
Hernando Today/Tampa Tribune
by Doug Patton

During the 1990s, conservatives referred to CNN as the "Clinton News Network" based on the fact that crazy old Ted Turner's news station was so ridiculously biased in favor of the Clinton White House that no honest person could deny it.(Snip)The American Broadcasting Co.(Snip) has gone far beyond the days of [CNN's fawning coverage of the felon-in-chief,] his choleric bride and the gang that couldn't lie straight. The mainstream media is so in love...

The liberals are on their drumbeat/echo game to shove the Huffington Post blog down our throats as the ONLY blog to rival newspapers as a source for news. Nice try, but no cigar! The 'Fraud King' just blew the cover on that.

Stay Tuned for More
of 'The Obama Show' -
Washington Post
by Dana Millbank

In his first daytime news conference yesterday, President Obama preempted "All My Children," "Days of Our Lives" and "The Young and the Restless." But the soap viewers shouldn't have been disappointed: The president had arranged some prepackaged entertainment for them. After the obligatory first question from the Associated Press, Obama treated the overflowing White House briefing room to a surprise. "I know Nico Pitney is here from the Huffington Post,"

I don't care if Howard Weaver Twitters or blogs - I'm not reading it. He's the poster child for everything wrong in newspapers these days. He has zero credibility.

Don’t you just hate to see Marxists with their panties in a bunch?

Harvard workers stunned by layoffs
Boston Globe, by Tracy Jan
Harvard’s most senior administrators had for months foreshadowed the possibility of staff reductions, warning at a series of meetings and forums that they probably would have no choice as the university deals with the precipitous decline in its endowment…

Old Howard even wrote the “F” word to generate traffic to his blog. Miss Melly usually tries to make excuses for him, and hold his lame blog up. How long has that been going on?

Anon 916: I saw that article too, and felt the same way. Cept my post would be removed if I said it my way.

How valid are Americans' gripes about the media? Via Poynter Online

A Media Guy Asks: Why Do They Hate Us?
by Matt Pressman
Vanity Fair

“But what’s equally clear is that [the general public does not hold us in such esteem.] On the Internet, articles about the demise of traditional news media are commonly greeted with glee and schadenfreude. And it’s not just the online cranks. The Pew Research Center recently found that most Americans feel that the press is biased and inaccurate, and large percentages even said it was “immoral” and “hurts democracy.” So to borrow a phrase that became a media refrain in 2001: why do they hate us?”

MinnPost.com

In April, the Minneapolis paper posted its biggest monthly loss, $3.45 million. "The difference? Compensation costs, which plunged from $12.9 million in April (actually March 30-May 3) to $7 million," writes David Brauer.

ABC is a farce TV News reality show. Propaganda du jour on the menu:
‘Pickin and Choosin’ your daily fudge intake. What hypocrites!

ABC producer on Neda video: "We don't show people on television at the moment of their death"
New York Observer
Felix Gillette says news producers at all networks grappled with the question of how much of Neda Agha-Soltan's death should be aired. "There are plenty of disturbing images that we show -- famine in Rwanda, genocide in Darfur, war in Iraq and Afghanistan -- but there is a line,” says Jon Banner, executive producer of ABC's "World News."

ABC, now officially inside the WH News, would be checking with Obama and Hamas on what Iranian protest pictures to air. Mustn’t make certain unnamed people look bad. “No sudden moves” strategy in action, or non-action as it were.

Re: The in-bedded journalists fainting.
An Iowa poster wrote that the Obama campaign people admitted they had discussed the TV appeal of women being so enamored with the “Great Pretender” that they fainted. (On cue) Would you believe not one journalist followed up on the rumor? After all, it was just a rumor, because no one checked it out!

Citing sources, ‘Some say’ a flimsy ‘Some say’ is insufficient.

Who told WSJ about Steve Jobs' liver transplant?
Hitsville.org
"The odd thing about the WSJ story [on Steve Jobs' liver transplant] is that it cited no sources in its flat lede, and backed up the lede's assertions nowhere else in the story," writes Bill Wyman. "It could be that the Journal decided rather than broadcast how flimsy their sourcing was they'd just go with a pronouncement from on high." Care to respond, WSJ?

AH HA! “Gerbilism,...is partly responsible for a lot of our nation's problems today." Journalists are gerbils in drag. Yes, I can see that mental image easily enough.
=====
"Gerbilism" describes the state of today's news media
Oregonian

Doug Bates's daughter once wrote in a school report that her dad "went to college to learn about gerbilism." The Oregonian newsman says: "I've been thinking about that long-ago school paper, and I've decided 'gerbilism' is a pretty good word for what's been going on in the news media these days. Gerbilism is an apt term for something that's soft and warm and cuddly, safe and timid, with no sharp teeth and no bite whatsoever. Gerbilism, I've decided, is partly responsible for a lot of our nation's problems today."

I just read a scalding post about anyone referring to Obama as a chimp or monkey as being racists. Times have changed, have they not?

Flashback: What are your opinions of the Obama-Chimp-Stimulus cartoon ...
“Libs called Bush "Chimp" for years, publishing political cartoons of him with chimp ears (Obama has bigger ears) and a chimp like face. …”

Would some journalist please demand our new WH resident ‘Chimpears’ not read his over-programmed teleprompter speeches ALL the time. Who knows who is pulling the strings on this Pinocchio puppet/fraud's lips?

Where is the watchdog press on yet another lie by Barry-O?
-------
Obama Closes Doors on Openness
Newsweek
by Michael Isikoff
As senator, Barack Obama denounced the Bush administration for holding "secret energy meetings" with oil executives at the White House. But last week public-interest groups were dismayed when his own administration rejected a Freedom of Information Act request for Secret Service logs showing the identities of coal executives who had visited the White House to discuss Obama's "clean coal" policies. One reason: the disclosure of such records might impinge on privileged "presidential communications."

Mrs. O knows hospital care? This story would be FrontPage if journalists were really digging for news.
----
Mrs. O And The Patient Dump
Canada Free Press, by Bob Parks
It wasn’t until white America accepted her husband that she was finally proud of America. The same America that allowed the hospital she worked for to screw over the same underprivileged her better half was organizing to raise his own political stature.(Snip)The media has propped Michelle O as The One who we should all want to emulate and admire. But the gaze she was photographed issuing to Carla Bruni shows a mean side.

Don't you bitter old men ever get tired of regurgitating the same right-wing talking points, talking to each other about them, and congratulating each other on your insights? Get a life. Get some fresh air. Go play some golf. Take a walk. Check a Web site with views opposite yours that might actually cause you to think for a change.

Anonymous said...

4:31 PM
You mean like reading the Daily Kos, where leftist loons gather for fresh air?

Bwhahahaha

Anonymous said...

**Red alert** The 'bitter old men' regurgitating troll is afoot. Talk about writing the same old comment over and over, get out your thesaurus, man, and give us a freakin break.

Anonymous said...

Oh God, Bwahahaha is back. I thought he'd found some other place to favor with his braying.

Anonymous said...

What makes anyone so sure only men post here? I am positive that is not the case. Calling me a ‘bitter old man’ is a royal insult. I should be in your view a bitter old woman just 26 years old. Sexist fool!

Anonymous said...

Bwahahaha can write about leftist hypocrisy, and laugh at the loons anytime, as far as I am concerned. This is a free speech site, right? No one has to conform to one person’s preferences. I wonder why anyone has to criticize the style of another? I prefer the laughter of Bwhahaha to the carping liberals’ whining any day of the week. Someone has to say it, “You don’t dictate the conversation here,” scroll on down the page, you have no idea what is humorous to others. Are you the bitter old man giving fuel to the fresh air loon?
Bwahahaha-
I'm going to start writing that also just to tick you off, you bitter old something or the other.

Kudos to the governor of SC for showing once again the hypocracy of the "moral values" party.

But I'm thinking that this is of no concern to you right wing zealots out there who think your sinking ship party can do no wrong.

Anonymous said...

Wrong again, you write “the sinking ship party can do no wrong” and the GOP is ahead of the Dems already in the generic vote. Don’t believe everything you read in the newspapers, it may not be the truth. Oh wait, you mean you don’t know that already? Stick with us on McC Watch, we’ll give you the skinny on the real sinking ships to watch.
