Gearino announced over a month ago his blog was going on hiatus, but didn't give a hint how long he'd be gone.No posts on his blog since then.
Except he made a brief appearance in the comments section and explained he's been working on a book, which is "half done."
The new book is half-done, but like this blog, it’s also taking a rest. I’ll be back to both directly. (I’ve found that “directly” is an eminently useful word. Southern people use it reflexively to sidestep all specifics.)

I miss Gearino, he was the only N&O journalist I enjoyed. The paper has become a haven for too many affirmative action, second rate racists, MMO.
