Bradenton Herald looking for a District Manager

Who says McClatchy isn't hiring?! The Bradenton Herald is advertising for a District Manager.

We are currently looking for an energetic, motivated person to fill our District Manager position.

This position is responsible for supervising an independent carrier force within a district. The position will work with contracted carriers to help develop sales and maintain good customer service to meet and exceed performance expectations.

District Managers are responsible for managing and filling routes to ensure timely and uninterrupted delivery of the news-paper. The ideal candidate will be able to work night shift and flexible hours. Days off will vary and schedule will include weekend hours and holidays.

Ideal candidate should have some sales or marketing experience and at least one-year of management or supervisory experience. Prior newspaper experience will be considered a plus.

Must have a reliable vehicle, a valid Fla. driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Is this job like the GM (Gubmint motors) job, where you have it for six months, then it goes to it’s rightful corrupt, union, hack, crony?
