This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.
..Perhaps, if Ms. Poon had done a better job, made a better product, the Arizona Rep. wouldn't be going under and she wouldn't be redundant. It's a failing business and she had a part in that failure.
Well who could of seen this one coming? I'm sure McClatchy will follow suit on screwing people of their severance packages soon enough. Nice. Maybe if they get this done soon they can show a Q3 profit and let managers celebrate with another bonus at the expense of their former employees.
The severance packages at the Sac Bee have gotten worse. Morale is in the toilet.
Those that left June 08 got an OK package, those that left September 08 got the best. Everybody after that are getting smaller packages (severance and benefits) except for the Upper Management types that are negotiating huge pay days.
Many of us that decided to stay are regretting it big time. More work, less pay and even less respect.
