Lynn Dickerson, the McClatchy VP who oversees operations in Texas and the southeast, is leaving the company.
The McClatchy Co. vice president of operations Lynn Dickerson will leave the nation’s third-largest newspaper chain July 17, ending her nine year career with the publisher.
Dickerson oversees 11 newspapers in the Southeast and Texas for McClatchy (NYSE: MNI). The company’s two remaining operational vice presidents — Bob Weil and Frank Whittaker — will assume her responsibilities.
“I leave McClatchy with a heart full of gratitude for many opportunities afforded to me and my family over the last nine years,” said Dickerson, who joined the company as publisher at The Modest Bee. She was named corporate vice president of operations in 2006.
McClatchy president and chief executive officer Gary Pruitt says the company continue to “restructure and transition to a new business model — one that requires us to be smaller and more efficient in every area of the organization.”
