Newspaper accepts $200,000 loan from city coffers, watches credibility and prestige disappear
A payment to a struggling Church would be seen as a violation of the separation of church and state but giving money from the state to selected media outlets is somehow now a violation of a free press. If the government supports some media outlets, can we still trust them? Oh yeah...we don't trust them anyway...Sorry.

If it moves tax it
If it fails, subsidize it.
Extra points if you are politically correct

This paper is openly a whore in the same way that many other outlets are privately compromised by their democrat connections.
