Pop quiz

OK, how about a pop quiz.

First, a little background: political reporter Adam Wilson from The Olympian says he is leaving the paper and will work as a speech writer for a politician.

The quiz: Do you think Adam Wilson will work for (a) a Democrat, or, (b) a Republican?

I'll post the answer later.

Considering there are almost no Republicans in the state Legislature - and you are the one brining it up, I'm going with Democrat.

It's just a job, not a god damned conspiracy.

Not hard to guess. Political organizations and Politician's themselves are the failed journalist's last bastion of hope. From Barry Soretoro to NBC, to State Governor's offices, they flock to them hat in hand. They can't get jobs in the private sector doing what they do because of "no hire" lists. We've had half a dozen from our local paper and all we can do is be polite and explain that we are not hiring. We had no idea that our newspaper was accepting phony degrees or none at all.

Uh, didn't Karl Rove and Newt Gingrich sign deals with Faux?

They signed as commentators/pundits, not political speech writers and did not come from newspapers.

Oh, and there are plenty of Republicans in the Washington state legislature.

Just look how many from newspaper industry joined the Obama administration.

And then they have the nerve to say there is no Liberal Media. Liars.

I don't recall any moaning from the right wingers when newspaper columnist Tony Snow went to work as chief spokesman for the Bush White House.

That's one compared to how many hundred from the Left joining Democratic administrations?

So what? Those from the right join Republican administations. Everyone has political views. Judge them by their professionalism in reporting. And if you rant about their unprofessionalism and/or bias in reporting, provide links or specific examples to back up your accusation so we can judge for ourselves.

Which is very few compared to journalists joining the Democratic Party, hence the Liberal Media.

"Which is very few compared to journalists joining the Democratic Party, hence the Liberal Media."

OK. That settles it. Thanks for your obviously well-informed opinion.

No ... actually, I'm still confused. When exactly do all of the journalists join the Democratic party? After their worthless shares in McClatchy are vested?

Or do you mean that Democrats tend to BECOME journalists? (Because that might make a little bit of sense ....)

10:33 -- Here's one: John Walcott, McClatchy's DC bureau chief, said he could think of "no higher honor" than being compared to I. F. Stone, the left-wing journalist and KGB agent.

Maybe and after they use their biased reporting to elect them to power.

Oh and 10:33, please stop repeating yourself. It in no way deters the notion of the factual existence of the Liberal Media.

Revolving doors with supposedly unbiased, independent "journalists" and politicians of only one party. No, this does not smell. Nothing to see here. Move along folks.

Fatuous demands for proof of the obvious do not deserve a response as these are just bully boy tactics from intellectually bankrupt liberals no longer able to defend the bias of mainstream media.

Why the pejorative for Fox News and not the liberal bias of CNN, the NY Times, WaPo, CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, the LA Time and MNI. O yes. One network with conservative commentators is just too much for the liberal thought police who want to delegitimize every media voice that does not tow the lefty line.

Liberal media and liars is redundant.

And this proves what, exactly, about his reporting? Example, please.

Anonymous said...

That it skews his reporting way leftward.

It's like saying there is "no higher honor" than being compared to David Duke.

...or Cynthia McKinny.

Can't say I blame the guy from leaving, after McAsinine gutted The Olympian, transferred half the jobs to Tacoma, then laid them off in the next round.
