Publisher of "Gannettoid" site laid off by Gannett
The publisher of the new "Gannettoid" internet site was laid off on Thursday, according to Jim Hopkins, publisher of Gannett Blog. Hopkins, who planned to shut down Gannett Blog today, wrote this on Thursday afternoon:

'Des Moines Register' Lays Off 36, 6% of Staff
The Des Moines Register confirmed late Thursday that it had laid off 36 employees, or 6% of its total workforce. Employees let go came from throughout the newspaper. -
I am of the opinion that people, for lack of a better phrase, who celebrate others losing their jobs are themselves unhappy with their unfulfilled lives.

Discussing the distressed state of the MSM is not the celebration of others losing their jobs. It is discussing the facts of the print media’s dire situation, and opinions on how they got there. Many people have realized the media became the mouthpiece of the Democrats this past election. Finally, newspapers are paying the piper for becoming corrupt, what’s so difficult to understand about that?
