I was chatting with a friend whose office was moving down by The Star and when I mentioned having The Star for his neighbors he indicated that no, the Scientologists would be his new neighbors, that they had bought one of The Star's buildings. Is this old news?

Birds of a feather....Which building did they buy? The old Bank or the Circulation building? (covered parking lot) I should have paid closer attention the other day. I noticed that they had some construction going on down there.

The Scientologist bought the 6 story bank building, like 2-3 years ago. All the windows are
blacked out.

That's the one on the south side of 18th? Oh well, maybe they'll buy The Star building itself and turn it into a compound.

'Killing Terrorists-Gate' and Phony Outrage

'Killing Terrorists-Gate' and Phony Outrage’
House Democrats are in (cynical, calculated) high dudgeon after a shocking "revelation" was made public this week. [snip] . Gasp. It gets worse: Some members of Congress now say they weren't sufficiently briefed on the then-nascent secret program (which was never actually implemented), [snip] Once you've picked yourself up off the floor, take a look at the Wall Street Journal article outlining the latest creation of the Left's outrage machine:

Ginsburg makes a horrifying statement about killing off undesirables, and there was no follow up question, no further coverage by the liberal MSM. Even the brain-dead Democrats should question this sort of suppression of news. Obobo would not want questions of eugenics to surface where blacks might read the truth about Sanger’s real plans for them.

Here's what Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in Sunday's New York Times Magazine: "Frankly I had thought that at the time [Roe vs. Wade] was decided," Ginsburg told her interviewer, Emily Bazelon, "there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of."

The comment, which bizarrely [elicited no follow-up from Bazelon] or [any further coverage from the New York Times] -- [or any other major news outlet] -- was in the context of Medicaid funding for abortion.

John: info on the Star's connection to the Church of Scientology buying a building in Kansas City here. This article reports on a 2007 deal involving the old bank building across the street from the Star's building at 1729 Grand Blvd.
