This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.
Relax, Conservatives: Liberal Media is Doomed (North Star Writers Group)
If there is one constant among conservatives – from generation to generation – it is continued disgust with the liberal mainstream media.
This is for good reason, which has rarely been more evident than today, as institutions like the Associated Press, the New York Times and major television networks cheerlead shamelessly for President Obama and his left-wing agenda.
But conservatives should stop fretting. The liberal media is doomed.
That won't change the fact that we still have the same old tired-ass "leadership" of Wortel and Witt, who have destroyed employee morale and are destroying the print product that makes more money.
They are maximizing short-term profit in a hopeless attempt to bail out McCrappy's debt. News flash, guys, the S-T alone can not bail out McCrappy.
The long-term survival and profitability of the S-T are in peril because of your short-term view and the total disregard you have for the employees who get the paper out and Web site online every day. It's time you shared some of that $50 million a year profit with the hardworking, underpaid employees who are doing the jobs of 2 or 3 workers. After all, you gave yourselves a nice bonus at the end of 2008 after a so-called wage freeze was instituted.
It's clear that Worty and Witty only care about how much money they can milk out of the S-T for themselves and McCrappy while they give the middle finger to employees and the communities that no longer are covered because of cutbacks in the news budget.
From the story: Q: What if I want to subscribe to the paper?
A: You can find links to subscribe, advertise, contact us and more under “Reader Services” in the top left-hand corner of every page. You can find a list of our affiliate sites to the right of “Reader Services.”
the question was really: What if I want to UNsubscribe to the paper?
