MSNBC had a segment about gun-toting white racists, but neglects to mention the gun-toter is a black man. The video is edited to not show any skin color, just the guns. The video reveals how the situation was used to fit a ‘white’ racist scenario with no regard to accuracy. This is what the media has come to, contrived and erroneous reporting, and they wonder why leftist journalism is becoming obsolete.

Did MSNBC Edit Video of Man With Rifle at Obama Event to Hide His Race?

Obama is playing the Jesus card now. “bearing false witness” - he knows a lot about that first hand. Has he no shame?

Holy O Turns 'Faith' Healer
New York Post, by Charles Hurt

Repeatedly invoking the Bible, President Obama yesterday told religious leaders that health-care critics are "bearing false witness" against his plan. The fire-and-brimstone president declared holy war in a telephone call with thousands of religious leaders around the country as he sought to breathe life into his plan for a system overhaul.

Ex (NYT) reporter Jayson Blair now working as life coach
(Yahoo News)

Jayson Blair knows his new profession — life coach — smacks some people in the face like a bad punchline.

"People say, 'Wait a minute. You're a life coach?' That makes no sense,'" says Blair, the ex-journalist best known for foisting plagiarism and fabrications into the pages of The New York Times. "Then they think about my life experiences and what I've been through and they say 'Wait a minute. It does make sense.'"

Blair, 33, resigned from the Times in 2003, leaving a journalistic scandal in his wake. The resulting furor led the paper's top two newsroom executives to resign. Blair wrote a book, then mostly disappeared from view.

For the past two years, he has been quietly working as a certified life coach for one of the most respected mental health practices in northern Virginia.
"He can relate to patients just beautifully," said Michael Oberschneider, the psychologist who hired Blair and urged him to become a life coach.

"Sometimes you just meet people in life who have these electric personalities. Well, Jayson is now using his talents for good."

ObamaCare? Ask the British and Canadians (Townhall.com)

"We spend more on health care than most other countries." "We need to bring costs down."

To address these complaints, enter ObamaCare -- which may or may not include a "public option" or a taxpayer-assisted "co-op" to keep insurance companies "honest." But do countries with government-run health care succeed in retaining high quality while "bringing costs down"?

What about England?

Civitas, a nonpartisan British think tank, recently scolded the British National Health Service (NHS) for "putting the patient last."

Why? Civitas blames the government-run health care system's monolithic nature, lack of competition, and the burdensome and wasteful regulation, redundancy, oversight and meddling by government -- including some 69 public bodies besides the Department of Health, such as the Care Quality Commission and the Environment Agency. This means the NHS serves the bureaucrat, not the patient.

NY Times Leaks Classified Security Info-- Blackwater Helped CIA
The streak continues...

The New York Times continued to leak politically motivated classified security information this week.

The latest leak claims the dreaded Blackwater USA assisted the CIA in a top secret training program back in 2004.

This leak was no doubt aimed at discrediting the CIA. In May Speaker Pelosi called the CIA liars without any proof after she was caught lying herself about waterboarding.

Pro-Infanticide President Tells Rabbis: "We Are God's Partners in Matters of Life & Death"

"We are God's partners in matters of life and death," Obama said, according to Moline (paging Sarah Palin...), quoting from the Rosh Hashanah prayer that says that in the holiday period, it is decided "who shall live and who shall die."

Former Sec of State & 3 Top Dems Indicted on 50 Counts of Fraud, Embezzlement & Money Laundering in New Mexico

The former Secretary of State and several top Democrats were indicted today in New Mexico.

The ABQ News reported Former Secretary of State Rebecca Vigil-Giron, Democratic Party consultant Armando Gutierrez and lobbyists Elizabeth and Joseph Carl Kupfer were indicted Wednesday on 50 counts each of conspiracy, fraud, embezzlement, money laundering over $100,000 and other charges for alleged acts occurring from 2004 through 2006.

The four, who are named in separate indictments filed Wednesday afternoon in Bernalillo County District court, also are charged with making or permitting false public vouchers, making or taking kickbacks and tampering with evidence. The evidence-tampering charge stems from a “memorandum” back-dated to Sept. 2, 2004, “fabricated” with the intent of avoiding prosecution, the indictments say.

Obama To Rouse Purple SEIU Army In Conference Call

Barack Obama will hold a special conference call tomorrow with his SEIU supporters.

Hopefully, they can stay out of jail from now until then.
Michelle Malkin reported:

I’m getting on a call with President Obama tomorrow and I want you to join me.

The President is holding a live health care reform strategy meeting on Thursday at 2:30 pm EST. He’ll lay out our strategy and message going forward, and he’ll answer questions from SEIU activists and supporters like you.

"It’s impossible for me to tell you in an email how proud I am of the work SEIU members and health care activists are doing to advance real health reform.

Everywhere Congress goes, we’re there to meet them. It’s driving our opponents crazy; I think that means we’re doing something right.

Join tomorrow’s call with the President and keep the momentum going"

In related news... An ACORN bigshot in Nevada has pleaded guilty to conspiracy for organizing a scheme that illegally paid workers to register new voters.

Ailing Kennedy asks for speedy replacement process

BOSTON (AP) - A cancer-stricken Sen. Edward M. Kennedy has written a poignant letter to Massachusetts leaders asking that they change state law to allow a speedy replacement of him in Congress.

Funny, there’s no record of teddy ever writing poignant letters to Mary Jo's family, or making legislative changes about leaving people to die in their car after he killed her?

Even though he’s so close to seeing Mary Jo again, he still has no compunction to set this record straight?

Lion? No, cowardly lion cub. Maybe Jason Blair can help him as a life coach?

Karl Marx Is ‘Back in Vogue,’ NYT Book Reviewer Enthuses

New York Times book critic Dwight Garner on Wednesday enthused over a new biography of Friedrich Engels, cooing that Marxism is “back in vogue” and adding that the founding communist comes across as a “jovial man of outsize appetites” in Tristram Hunt’s new biography “Marx’s General.”

Garner opened the review by insisting that decrying capitalism is now hip again:

“Thanks to globalism’s discontents and the financial crisis that has spread across the planet, Karl Marx and his analysis of capitalism’s dark, wormy side are back in vogue.”

Guess who screened White House appointments!

JERUSALEM – Was a far-left think tank partnered with the community activist group ACORN and founded with input from President Obama instrumental in securing the appointment of controversial White House "environmental czar" Van Jones?

A key member of the think tank reportedly was also a founder of a socialist party that, evidence indicates, included Obama among its members.

In March, Jones was named the special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.

SNIP

The Fox News Channel's Glenn Beck hammered away at Jones' communist ties.

Months before Obama took office, however, Jones was recommended for the environmental pick in a report by business scholar Chuck Collins, an associate of philanthropist George Soros and a longtime leftist activist linked to some socialist causes.

Obama is a modern day Robin Hood; stealing from the rich and giving it to the poor. However, no matter Robbing Hood’s good intentions, he was still a plain old thief. Rob Hood later changed his name to Berserk, to honor his father, Jimmah Hussein O’Carter. Berserk then wrote a book, ‘The Audacity of Gaul’. BHO was known to take good care of his band of merry men, in fact he committed several robberies just to keep them in ACORNS to feed their squirrels. When confronted with his dishonest tactics, BHO would declare the serfs couldn’t understand lofty stuff, like the art of proper stealing. He would say clever lines like he felt as if he was talking to a stable, when dealing with the rabble. It was a good thing the Sheriff of Chicagoham was his friend, and stood ready to destroy anyone in Berserk’s way to fame and fortune.
And, so it goes, funny how history just keeps repeating itself.

Web design firm sues Clinton Foundation over nonpayment
(TechFlash) THE MORE THINGS CHANCE...

Bellevue digital agency Ascentium is suing former President Bill Clinton's private foundation for breach of contract, saying the foundation owes $541,000 for work on Project Two Degrees, a free web application to help cities monitor and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The project is a joint effort by The William J. Clinton Foundation and software giant Microsoft. Ascentium filed the lawsuit Monday in U.S. District Court in Seattle.

Project Two Degrees is part of the Clinton Climate Initiative, and describes its mission this way.

Project 2° software allows cities to establish a baseline on their greenhouse gas emissions, manage inventories, create action plans, track the effectiveness of their emissions reduction programs, and share experiences with each other. It will be the first global, multi-lingual emissions measurement toolset available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via the Web.
Microsoft has touted the project as one of its environmental initiatives.

According to the lawsuit, Ascentium's bill for the project totals $1.5 million and the Clinton Foundation has paid $900,000 to date. Ascentium is also seeking "any additional amounts that may come due" as well as attorney's fees.

New jobless claims unexpectedly rise last week (Yahoo Finace) ONLY TO THE MSM ITS UNEXPECTED

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of U.S. workers filing new claims for jobless benefits unexpectedly rose last week, a government report showed on Thursday, as companies continued to cut payrolls amid uncertainty over the economic outlook.

Initial claims for state unemployment insurance benefits rose 15,000 to a seasonally adjusted 576,000 in the week ended August 15 from 561,000 the prior week, the Labor Department said.

We are on the brink of passing the largest socialist legislation of my life, and the ‘Ruling Class’ have not even read the bill, or understand it, and yet they have the cojones to berate questioners who have read the bill for asking questions. Rep. John Conyers (D) of Michigan is the poster boy for the ignorant and arrogant legislators elected to govern our country. One doesn’t have to wonder why MI is a dying state. The unions will drag them down a rat hole. Bailing out Detroit will solve nothing unless the unions’ hold on the state is dismantled.

Obama Suddenly a NASCAR Fan? (JamieWearingFool)

A pathetically transparent attempt at bamboozling some of those red state hillbillies that usually are derided by liberals.

If Barack Obama could name a single NASCAR driver before yesterday I'd be surprised. Just like his recent healthcare tour out west where he magically surfaced in red states before adoring crowds of ACORN and SEIU members, this is a lamely transparent attempt to snooker some red-staters.

Nice try. NASCAR fans are much brighter than your average union goon and I doubt they'd fall for this nonsense.

We noted yesterday how it's nearly impossible to avoid seeing him on the television. Sure enough I turn on ESPN last night and it's all Obama all the time. Of course when this came on I turned on Special Report with Brett Baier, but in case you're feeling masochistic, here's that interview where he pretends to be a NASCAR fan.

For the Left, war without Bush is not war at all (Washington Examiner)

That was then. Now, even though the United States still has roughly 130,000 troops in Iraq, and is quickly escalating the war in Afghanistan -- 68,000 troops there by the end of this year, and possibly more in 2010 -- anti-war voices on the Left have fallen silent.

A Tribal Chief from South Dakota related the terrible government run health care for his reservation. He said, “How can you expect the government to run a larger health care program when they can’t follow through on a promise of health care for a small reservation?” The advice to the tribe was to get any medical care you need before June when the funds will be depleted for the year. A mother told of the unprofessional care her son received, and said he will never fully recover. How about exploring the US health care program for our native Americans? It seems it does not deliver good health care, and why would that be? It was said there is just too much bureaucracy, and the money is spent on government salaries, instead of actual heath care for the people. Say what?

Administration plans to wind down clunkers program (On to their next big "Success"!) AP

WASHINGTON – The Obama administration is developing plans to wind down the popular Cash for Clunkers program and could announce by Friday when the incentives will no longer be available.

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said Wednesday the department would announce within 48hours how it intends to discontinue the program ..

Through early Wednesday, auto dealers have made deals worth $1.81billion and are on pace to exhaust the program's $3 billion in funds in early September. The incentives have generated more than 435,000 vehicle sales but dealers want a clear plan on when the rebates will no longer be available ..

And these jerks want to run our Healthcare.

Anonymous said...

Survey: Car Dealers say Clunkers a Failure as 97% Report Problems, Call for Program to Stop
(Car Dealer Review)

Survey of 800 Dealers:

* 97% of dealers who responded, say the government is not reimbursing fast enough

* 13% of dealers have dropped out the program because the government is not reimbursing fast enough and overall concern payment problems

* 87% percent of dealers are concerned the money will be exhausted

* 3% of CARS program deals have been reimbursed

* 66% of dealers have not received one payment from the government

But we need to trust these guys on a whole new health care program when they can’t run a single easy rebate program for cars.

Anonymous said...

Fox & Friends discussed that the Cash for Clunkers program is already out of funds again, and has gone over budget. It seems only 2% of the 3 billion has been paid out to date. Per an earlier thread, many dealers are dropping the program because they are still waiting for their reimbursements, and just can‘t afford to risk more of their own funds. The government payment delay is due to the “bureaucracy” surrounding the program. Yeah right, let’s give them our health care plan to pillage and destroy.

As soon as Obama can print some more money, the clunker fund will be able to pay.

Media blame ObamaCare struggles on conservative stations, reminiscent of 2007 immigration reform failure.

If you can’t beat them, ban them. That’s the new model for CNN, “the most trusted name in news.”
As Democrats in Washington, D.C. struggle to impose their idea of an ideal health care system on the United States, opposition to their efforts grows. Rather than accept that the substance of reform proposals is the source of the push-back, some on the left and in the media are looking for a “boogeyman” nefariously ginning up taxpayer anger. That “boogeyman” – conservative talk radio.

400 Hotel Rooms Booked by White House for Obama Visit to Montana

The White House booked 400 (FOUR HUNDRED) hotel rooms at the Big Sky Resort for Barack Obama's overnight visit last week for a town hall meeting in nearby Bozeman, Montana. Two floors were completely taken over, including the penthouse suites.

While the national news media is ignoring the story, local media let the news slip in their gushing stories of how thrilling it was to have Obama in their midst.

DNC: White House did Collect Data Via Flag@Whitehouse.gov PATTERICO

Erick Erickson at RedState says the DNC admits Barack Obama was collecting information on people via Flag@Whitehouse.gov:

“Trying to deflect attention from the White House invading people’s privacy, the Democratic National Committee is making real news by admitting flag@whitehouse.gov was used to collect data on people being turned in by third parties.”

The problem isn’t that the White House was collecting data on people who knowingly leave their names and contact information, typically because they want to be contacted. Most websites do that and anyone who leaves personal information is aware of it. The problem is that the White House was collecting information about people who, without their knowledge, were being reported by someone else.
