HISTORY REPEATS, "THE MOB VS THE CZARS"

Insult and Injury ....(We “the mob” cannot possibly be real American voters) National Review

President Obama likes to pose as the tribune of the common people, but Americans who show up at town-hall meetings to object to Obama’s plans to nationalize health care are, in the words of Obama’s Democratic National Committee, “the mob,” a bunch of “extremist” yahoos who must be publicly denounced and ridiculed.

It’s a remarkable piece of condescension and snobbery, but one that is indicative of how President Obama thinks and does business.

So according to McClacthy, it’s okay for ACORN to go hold protests in front of private residence of financial employees, but not okay for those who dissent to come to a public forum and make their sentiiments known to their ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES?

And yes, it's ok for African-American thugs to stand outside voting locations with billie clubs.

But don't dare to question Obama and his brown shirt minions.

White House U-turn on Ahmadinejad as president sworn in amid protests
Times Online (U.K.)

The White House performed an embarrassing retreat last night, withdrawing its description of President Ahmadinejad as Iran’s “elected leader” on the day that he was sworn in for his second term.

“Let me correct a little bit what I said yesterday,” Robert Gibbs, President Obama’s spokesman, said as thousands of Iranian riot police beat back protesters outside the inauguration ceremony in Tehran. “Whether any election was fair ... we’ll let [the Iranian people] decide about that.”

WILL THE MSM CALL FOR MALLOY TO BE FIRED? CRICKETS OF COURSE

Liberal Talk Radio Host Hopes Conservative Glenn Beck Commits Suicide on TV.

(CNSNews.com) – Liberal talk radio host Mike Malloy lashed out at conservative commentator Glenn Beck, who has a program on the Fox News Channel, saying he hopes Beck commits suicide “on camera,” particularly given that suicide “is rampant in his family” and that Beck apparently is “self-destructive.”

“I have good news to report,” said Malloy on his Aug. 4 radio program. “Glenn Beck appears closer to suicide. I'm hoping that he does it on camera.”

“Suicide is rampant in his family, and given his alcoholism and his tendencies towards self-destruction,” said Malloy, “I am only hoping that when Glenn Beck does put a gun to his head and pulls the trigger, that it’s on television, because somebody will capture it on YouTube and it will be the most popular little piece of video for months.”

The Mike Malloy Show is nationally syndicated, and Malloy was one of the original hosts of the liberal Air America network.

Liberals are such caring people. Or is it an example of "hate radio" that Liberals are always complaining about?

Sorry comrades, the MSM goes after malloy types for hate speech only if you substitute the word “Jew” for Glenn Beck , “Obama” for Glenn Beck, or “gay person” for Glenn Beck.

Rupert Murdoch's move to charge for content opens doors for competitors (Guardian.UK)

Vivian Schiller, now CEO of National Public Radio in the US, said in an interview with Newsweek last week that talk of charging for news online is "mass delusion". She should know. Schiller was head of nytimes.com when it charged and then stopped charging for its content.

If you can charge for your content - if you are the FT or the Wall Street Journal, the only brands that do it successfully - and your readers can make money on your content, and pass the cost of it onto their employers I have nothing against it.

But for most, pinning hopes for the survival of news on charging for it is not only futile but possibly suicidal.

You can charge for serious journalism. But the problem is that McClatchy journalism is just a variant on AP's Marxist propoganda, you get for free on the internet.

If Cuba Can Drill Off The Coast Of Florida, Why Can't We? (Investopedia)

Cornyn to Obama: Stop With the Enemies Lists (Weekly Standard)

The White House call for people to inform on anyone spreading "disinformation about health insurance reform" didn't sit well with a lot of people -- Obama isn't running a political campaign anymore, he's supposed to be running the country.

Texas Senator John Cornyn has written a letter to the president politely asking if he could please put an end to the creepiness:

“I am not aware of any precedent for a President asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed ‘fishy’ or otherwise inimical to the White House’s political interests,” Sen. Cornyn wrote.

“You should not be surprised that these actions taken by your White House staff raise the specter of a data collection program.

As Congress debates health care reform and other critical policy matters, citizen engagement must not be chilled by fear of government monitoring the exercise of free speech rights.”

Nazis and U.S. Politics
(Washington Times 6/7/1995)
UM, WHO DOES THIS SOUNDS LIKE?

During the past several months in the American press, the Democrats have frequently denounced the Republicans as Nazis due to their attempts to control runaway federal spending. How very ironic. I remember the Nazis. Let me share a little about them and recall some of their exploits.

First of all, “Nazi” was gutter slang for the verb “to nationalize”.

The Bider-Mienhoff gang gave themselves this moniker during their early struggles.

The official title of the Nazi Party was “The National Socialist Workers Party of Germany”.

Hitler and the Brownshirts advocated the nationalization of education, health care, transportation, national resources, manufacturing, distribution and law enforcement.

Television ad sales winding down, down, down (Los Angeles Times)

Broadcast television networks typically sell the bulk of their advertising for the coming season in a handful of days in late May and June. But this wasn't a typical year.

With the sour economy, declines in consumer spending and sagging prime-time rankings, network sales executives have had to work overtime this summer to close deals with advertisers.

For more than a month, talks were stalled because advertisers were demanding steep cuts in pricing -- and the networks initially were refusing to give in. Several weeks ago, the impasse melted and the networks started to slowly ring up sales with major advertisers.

Anonymous said...

The 30 day moving average is now at $.998333.

If it closes above $.75 they have the average above $1. With the recent run-up in the price it would likely require that the price drop below $1 for over 2 weeks to bring on any delisting worries again.

Obama's Health Plan Will Succeed--At getting people to die faster
(FrontPageMagazine.com)

Many critics are busy complaining that President Obama's healthcare reform plans are doomed to failure. It would be nice if they would just quit their whining and get back to caring for their polo ponies or something, because it's clear that the plan will be successful.

Think about it -- as severely ill people die more quickly, costs will inevitably be cut.

It's really quite simple. Take cancer treatment. If we can just make sure to treat cancer patients with older, cheaper, more ineffective treatments, then treatment will actually be more effective -- at cutting costs as more cancer patients die.

We not only save the cost of more expensive medication -- we also save by relying on less expensive stays in hospices instead of more extended active treatments.

Obama's rating drops to 50 per cent
AFP via News.com.au (Australia) ^

US President Barack Obama's approval rating has slumped to 50 per cent, the lowest since his inauguration, according to a poll released on the eve of his 200th day in office. Pollsters at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut said Mr Obama's job approval rating dipped to 50-42 per cent, a reflection of growing unease over his handling of the economy.

The figure, released today, is a substantial drop from the 57-33 per cent approval rating he had on July 2, and far less than the glowing numbers he enjoyed in the honeymoon first 100 days of his tenure.

The national poll of 2409 registered voters was carried out between July 27 and August 3.

WEST WING MINDMELD: “The conventional wisdom held by everyone in Washington — including us at the White House — was wrong. Everybody said that stretching [initial floor votes on] health care into September would kill it. But taking at least another month has actually given a reprieve. The poll numbers now, for health care, are up. They’re up specifically for the president’s plan. People felt like there was a rush. Now, they feel like there’s time, and that is working out better for Obama and the Democrats. And the crowds — burning effigies, swastikas? Not exactly on message. We’re giving more time, and we’re not looking shrill. The opposition looks shrill and not interested in talking, but interested in screaming. When did the American people prefer screaming over talking?”

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — To watch the news, the only grass-roots action in the health care debate involves opponents shouting down Democrats at town halls and grocery stores.

But Democrats — especially those who have expressed anything less than full-blown support for the legislation before Congress — are getting back-home pressure from the left, too.

It’s just usually a bit more civil.

On Tuesday, about two dozen activists gathered in front of Democratic Rep. Eric Massa’s office in Pittsford, N.Y., to deliver close to 5,000 petitions from New York voters urging him to support the House health care bill.

“We’re here today because we’re a bit confused. Congressman Eric Massa says that he’s a strong supporter of health care reform, yet he’s not going to vote for H.R. 3200,” said Diana Cihak, the head organizer in the region for Citizens Action New York, which is leading the health care campaign for the state as a member of Health Care for America Now, an umbrella group of liberal organizations.

Massa was one of 60 House Democrats to declare his opposition to the deal struck between leaders and four conservative Blue Dog Democrats on the Energy and Commerce Committee right before the House broke for recess last week, saying that the compromise went too far in weakening the public option.

RUMOR MILL

Rumor has it Sen. Boxer is supporting a new Cash for Clunkers program! Subscribe to the Bee or the Chronicle and the gvt will pay for the first year!

Clunker Class War

My clunker was a ’64 Ford Galaxie, logging maybe eight miles to the gallon on level ground, the back seat burned to the coils by a knucklehead friend who left a cigarette to smolder. When it died, just short of 140,000 miles, everything went. Sold it for scrap and $50 — with the tow.

Today, I’d trade that dog on wheels in a New York minute for the upgrade, some smart mileage car that is one of the autos zooming off my neighborhood lot as part of the Cash for Clunkers program.

But according to a barnacled cluster of senators, this program must be sunk, now. It’s been far too successful — dealers have been swamped, people are lining up to buy cars that burn less gas and bring instant cash to crippled local economies.

This is old fashioned stimulus of a sort that Republicans have always advocated, using financial incentives to change behavior. Representative Candice Miller, a G.O.P. lawmaker — albeit from the car-dependent state of Michigan — called it “the best $1 billion of economic stimulus the government has ever spent.”

But look where the rest of Miller’s party is. Last week, Senator John McCain threatened to lead a filibuster rather than let Cash for Clunkers continue to September, as the House has agreed to do with an additional $2 billion from money already approved in the stimulus law.

He backed off this week, though he and other critics continued to treat Cash for Clunkers like swine flu with a steering wheel.

They hate it, many of these Republicans, because it’s a huge hit. It’s working as planned, and this cannot stand. America must fail in order for President Obama to fail. Don’t be surprised if the tea party goons now being dispatched to shout down town hall forums on health care start showing up at your car dealers, megaphones in hand.

But there’s another reason, less spoken of, for why some people get so incensed over little old Cash for Clunkers: it helps average people, and it’s easily understood — a rare combination in a town where the big money deals usually go down with packaged obfuscation.

Democrats see a conspiracy behind the angry ‘mobs’ at townhall meetings. Isn’t that hilarious? All the trolls on this blog that rant about the conservatives that saw the conspiracy of the MSM liberals to elect a fraud president, now see a conspiracy. I guess we now get to call them names for their silliness. Sen. Botox Boxer says the townhall meetings are staged. Odd she didn’t comment on the staged fainters at the Obama rallies. The Black Panthers carrying sticks, the ACORN organizers ginning up voter registrations. Sen. Nancy Plastic says there are people with swastikas on their arms at these meetings. She has ‘gone round the bend’, but she has put the idea out there for nutcases to follow, and the media will not question the posers. If I was not witnessing these liberals at work with my own eyes, I would believe their daily stupidity in Washington DC, was something from a B movie set.

Here's the difference, pal:
The mobs at town hall meetings are being organized by big-bucks p.r. firms paid by insurance companies, or ginned up by lies on Faux.
The president was elected because the voters were tired of the Bush administration and recognized that Palin would be a disaster and that McCain's judgment was lacking because he chose her.

The “Chicago Way” and Tenured Radical Bill Ayers (Accuracy In Media)

The University of Illinois, which employs communist terrorist Bill Ayers as a professor, has been hit by an admissions scandal which has forced the resignation of the chairman of its board of trustees.

An investigation by the Chicago Tribune found that more than 800 undergraduate applicants received special consideration from 2005 to 2009 because "they had powerful patrons, including elected officials, trustees and donors." It added that "Dozens more law and graduate school applicants also got preferential treatment."

But how did Bill Ayers get his job? All signs point to his rich father, Thomas Ayers, who was CEO of Commonwealth Edison and a major power player in the Chicago establishment.

Will the Chicago Tribune or McClatchy investigate this? Thomas Ayers sat on the board of the Tribune Company, which publishes the Tribune.

Thomas Ayers also sat on the board of Northwestern University, where Bill Ayers' wife and fellow terrorist Bernardine Dohrn got a teaching job.

Washington Post apologizes for Clinton joke (Washington Post)

(But can you ever imagine the MSM McClacthy ever apologizing to any Sarah Palin for nasty “unfunny” comments? No, neither can I!)

WASHINGTON -- Two Washington Post journalists are apologizing and their satirical online video series has been canceled following criticism of a joke they told about Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Post Executive Editor Marcus Brauchli killed the "Mouthpiece Theater" series Wednesday after pulling the latest episode from the paper's Web site Friday.

In the video, columnist Dana Milbank and White House correspondent and blogger Chris Cillizza appeared in smoking jackets to discuss the kinds of beer politicians might drink. Milbank said he couldn't reveal to whom President Barack Obama would serve a drink called "Mad B---- Beer." That line was followed by a brief picture of Clinton.

The group Women, Action and the Media complained to the Post in a letter signed by 32 women. They called the video "sexist" and "tasteless."

"I regret that we put up that image," Milbank said, "and while I highly doubt the secretary of state has seen 'Mouthpiece Theater,' I would be honored to have the opportunity to apologize to her over a beer."

Taxpayers to Pay for UNION Retiree Health Plans (Boston.com)

Last week I noticed an odd, inexplicable provision in the House bill.

Page 65, Section 164 sets aside $10Billion for "eligible" health plans...for retirees. Not only that, it specifies the retirees can be as young as 55 yrs old.

Now, I know very very few non-union private companies offer retirement health care plans, especially not at 55.

So I suspected this was a payoff to the UAW and other unions. I called my Congressman and Senators but NO ONE could explain this to me.

NOW TODAY I SEE CONFIRMATION OF MY SUSPICIONS.

In a letter John Sweeney sent to AFL-CIO members exhorting them to turn out at town hall meetings. Buried in the letter is this nugget:

Sweeney [demands] ... the legislation contain "relief for company/union funds providing pre-Medicare retiree coverage...

This explains why Unions would want this bill passed, have no compunction to go after the middle class.

Keep up the good work Katie Couric!

Here's an idea! How about putting out real news without the editorials and positive shows that doesn't insult our intelligence?

Do that and more folks will watch and the advertisers will come back...

CBS is undoubtedly ecstatic about the loss.

Being good hard leftists, they know that profits are evil.

More signs of a healthy newspaper industry. Onward and upward.

"The Portland Oregonian announces end to job-security pledge

Wednesday August 05, 2009, 4:31 PM
The Oregonian announced Wednesday that a long-standing and unusual job-security pledge for full-time employees against layoffs for economic and technological reasons will end in February of next year.

Publisher Fred A. Stickel cited the need for flexibility in the future given the difficult economy and declining revenues the newspaper faces. Employees as of Jan. 1, 2010, also will be required to pay a portion of the premium for their health care, depending on income level. Employees hired before 2005 had not been required to contribute to the cost of coverage for themselves or their family.

The company also announced full-time employees would be required to take at least six furlough days in the first six months of next year.

The job-security pledge is common among the daily newspapers of Advance Publications, owner of The Oregonian. Similar announcements were made at other Advance papers on Wednesday."

Katie's worth her 15 million if she helps CBS slip into Chapter 11.

The inevitable demise of the CBS 'brand' will not be mourned by many Americans.

The network's news division has abandoned it's purpose and thrown away it's objectivity in favor of promoting leftist ideology and specifically, the administration of Barack Hussein Obama

Justice would be if the lawsuit from the journo-fraud Rather put CBS over the edge.

Pakistani Taliban chief likely killed: minister (Reuters on Yahoo)

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) – There is a strong likelihood that Pakistani Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud was killed along with his wife and bodyguards in a missile attack two days ago, Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik told Reuters.

"We suspect he was killed in the missile strike," Malik said on Friday. "We have some information, but we don't have material evidence to confirm it."

The United States has placed a $5 million reward on the head of Mehsud, an ally of al Qaeda widely regarded in Pakistan as Public Enemy No. 1.

Kool-aid King says, “The mobs at town hall meetings are being organized by big-bucks p.r. firms paid by insurance companies, or ginned up by lies on Faux.”
Can’t you drop the liberal talking points, ever? Writing ‘Faux’ is so old and tired. Fox News creams the competition. Now, why would that be? I guess you feel George Soros money is just fine. Also, the peace protests had funds from communist organizations. You have to get into reading all sides of the question, you are lost in ignorance. Your loyalty to this blog offers hope for your future.

LA Democrat found guilty. One day headline, if that? The liberal media will never change. They must go away, no one needs selected news. They are already framing their candidates for the next election. They will not be able to stuff Obama down our throats again. Obama already makes Jimmah Cater look good. Voters are already wishing they could buy back their votes for the TOTUS fraud.

Are you denying that the mobs at town hall meetings are being organized by public relations and lobbying firms paid by insurance companies, and ginned up by distortions -- if not outright lies -- on Fox and right-wing talk radio? If so, you're either completely out of touch or can't acknowledge the facts. (Or can't bring yourself to drop the right-wing talking points).

A liberal was telling Jon Stewart that the town hall meetings were manufactured, and even Jon said any citizen has the right to speak to their elected officials. The lame official says, of course you are right, but it has to be known what is behind the speaker. The arrogance of these politicians is mind numbing. He does not know the hearts and minds of the American people. Witness the all time low congress scores on polls.

I have not attended a town hall meeting. I cannot judge why the people were there. No one can know that for sure. I am sure the truth will come out. If it is angry taxpayers, and they have every right to be angry, why do they have to be labeled at all? I am saying you believed the liberal talking points, where did you hear they were a manufactured mob? Why call people speaking their minds, a mob? Framing the discussion is what that is called. I see it now, and I am tired of anyone trying to force feed me their talking points. Why can’t you give these folks the benefit of the doubt? You don’t know them, or their reasons, but at least they are speaking up. You should be glad to see people taking an interest in their government.

Don't you know that those nasty minute men were actually part of an ORGANIZATION called the Sons of Liberty? O the Shame! Our country was founded on outraged people who organized themselves to be more effective together.

The real shame is the liberals who are saying that their fellow Americans don't have a right to be heard.
Moreover they support a president who wants citizens to snitch on each other if they say something "fishy" about his health care takeover program.

Anonymous said...

I am not part of any "organization" but I am sure angry as hell about this proposed health care program. If one of our local congressmen has a town hall meeting he is going to get an earful from me.
And I would be happy to join with any of my fellow Americans who also oppose Obama's insane plan.

DEMS SEND OUT BOGUS LETTERS To Sway Support For DeathCare

Michigan Democrats sending out bogus letters from constituents claiming to be sick, to support increased Government Health Care Top Party leaders. Top Party leaders blame it on "Overzealous" Young Democrats

Oakland County Commissioner Shelly Taub, a Republican, received a letter from a constituent who wrote a very sad letter regarding her lack of health care coverage. The letter writer was begging for help for her "sick child." The Commissioner sprung into action.

She did more than a little poking around. In fact, she scoured the entire County to locate the women. What she found didn't quite match what the letter writer had told her.

The Oakland Press relays the story in "Dems sent out falsified Letters," Fri, July 3:

She felt like she had failed as a mother cause she couldn't afford health care for her ill son...

"I got this letter and it tore my heart apart" Taub said. "I thought My God... I know many people in health care, I'll get this kid some help."

Taub and her husband searched for information about the woman, found out that she actually lived in Fraser, so Taub called the home phone number and left a message.

Taub said she received a phone call that night from the mother of the woman who sent the letter who informed Taub that her daughter was not married and is a student at the University of Michigan.

The woman who sent the letter explained to Taub that she had recently finished an internship with the Oakland County Democratic Party in Bingham Farms, Taub said. The woman said she and two other interns were given sample letters and told to modify them, change the return address and send them out, Taub said.

Dems Reward Failure-- Confirm Sotomayor to Supreme Court Where She's Been Overturned 9 of 10 Times

Judge Sonia Sotomayor may be the worst judge ever nominated to the Supreme Court.

Judge Sotomayor’s opinions were reversed, vacated, Or criticized nine out of ten times by the U.S. Supreme Court. 9 of 10 times.

But that did not stop the Dems from confirming this kook today.

This woman by her own admission was not an academic equal to her peers at University.

Her racism seeps from every pore. She was on the council of La Raza. a racist organization that seeks to establish Azatland. a Hispanic homeland in America.

Look at the bright spot, she is only replacing a leftist kook herself.

Now if she had been replacing one of the real justices who thankfully can't think like a wise sexest/racist woman I would be very worried.

Bush nominated a Hispanic to the high court but the Dems wouldn't confirm. They wanted to be the party to put the first Hispanic on the Supremes. What a bunch of whiny wimps!
