Description:
Our Advertising division needs an Account Executive to responsible for selling advertising schedules based on advertiser marketing needs, selling all State Media within the medium, achieving budget revenue goals by developing all new/incremental business possible in assigned territory, for maintaining an awareness of local competitive conditions and improving market share. The Account Executive is also responsible for generating advertising revenue by selling and servicing existing, new, and inactive accounts within a territorial assignment.
Requirements:
Requirements include two to five years of responsible experience in sales or marketing, preferably with a media company, and a high school diploma; however, some college is preferred. The candidate must have excellent customer relations and communication skills and must be able to use sales skills to present creative marketing solutions, get advertisers to commit to campaigns, process paperwork, perform basic mathematical calculations, and follow ads from creation to publication to make sure customer expectations are met or exceeded. Must be able to contribute in a team-based environment. Knowledge of competitive media and marketing research is a plus.
