"The more we owe, the wealthier we are"

Reassuring that fools like this are running the country.

Where are the "Truth to Power" reporters at McClatchy?... I'm guessing they're busy reading Sarah Palin's FaceBook or off somewhere looking for dirt on Limbaugh, Beck, or Obama Care protesters. Hat tip: Gateway Pundit

Interesting that the guy demanded a degree in economics from a questioner while he doesn't have one himself.

BTW, I am starting my own country so if anyone wants to get rich feel free to join me and we'll borrow a few trillion to make us wealthy because governmental borrowing is different than other kinds of borrowing.

I called Pete Stark's office today
(202-225-5065)and asked if the video was real or fake.

The nice receptionist said, "It's real but it's an old video, if you notice, the congressman's hair is grayer now."

So I asked her if Stark still felt borrowing money made you wealthier, now that his hair was grayer.

She said, "I don't know but I can have the local office follow up for you if you live in San Leandro."

This is the quality of leadership we have in DC.

Should have asked her what the age of the video had to do with his actions... aside from the statue of limitations of course.

I take it back. The age of the video is irrelevant as the statute of limitations makes it quite clear that the clock starts clicking, "Upon Discovery of the Crime", which in most states would be Terroristic Threats.

Did Stark say, "Shut the F*** Up?

“Get the f**k out of here or I’ll throw you out the window” - Video: Rep. Pete Stark tells interviewer
@ Michele Malkin
She also adds this:
He has called a Republican opponent a “c**ksucker”, left a profanity-laced message on a constituent’s voicemail, and suggested on the floor of the House that Republicans are sending men and women to Iraq “to get their heads blown off for the president’s amusement.”

“The more you owe, the wealthier you are.” Starkism you can believe in. Now that sounds catchy. Man, I was worried about my student loan debt, and I find out I am richer than my folks.
Oh Happy days.

The man is unhinged. He is 'Stark' raving mad, one could say.

Pete Stark: Health Care Co-ops a 'Medical Unicorn'
Mark Whittington
Rep. Pete Stark, the chairman of the House Ways and Means Health Sub Committee, takes a dim view of the idea of health care co-ops as an alternative for a "public option." Pete Stark considers the idea something of a political nonstarter in the House.
==
Oh, oh, I think the Debt President is going to suggest co-ops to keep his sick health reform plan alive.

Stark is just mouthing Keynesian mumbo jumbo.
***
"The advent of the global financial crisis in 2007 has caused a resurgence in Keynesian thought. Keynesian economics has provided the theoretical underpinning for the plans of President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Gordon Brown and other global leaders to rescue the world economy"

The old condescending bugger, looking down his nose, and demeaning the interviewer about his college and degree. Stark is the norm for the liberals, why wasn’t the truth know about him before? The media covered for him, you say? Well, if the media doesn’t report the truth, then I say to hell with them. Who needs them anyway? Bird owners, you say?
