Media Corruption and the Two Party System (Accuracy in Media)
What drives President Barack Obama to want to seize control of the health care and energy sectors of the U.S. economy?
Obama was trained as a Marxist from his days as a young boy in Hawaii when his grandfather picked Communist Party USA member Frank Marshall Davis as his mentor.
In college, as Obama tells the story, he picked his "friends" carefully, in order to avoid being perceived as a sell-out, and those friends included the "Marxist professors."
Later, in Chicago, he would become a political associate of another Marxist professor, Bill Ayers of the University of Illinois.
Last night Glen Beck began referring to the Main Stream Media as the Fringe Media.
Based upon the latest Cable News ratings shown below, FNC has captured 50% of the viewing audience and if we can make it 51% the MSM will truly be the fringe.
Live + Same Day Cable News Daily Ratings for September 16, 2009
They are the DNC media. They are by survey almost 100% Democrat in terms of the work force, 100% Democrat in terms of ownership, and they follow the Democrat line and cover for Democrats almost 100%of the time.
Its beyond that though, the press is a key part of the DNC leadership and a key client group within the DNC. Both at the same time.
Chicago Sun-Times Union Rejects Demands for Cuts (yet another union slits its own throat)WSJ
Unionized workers in the Chicago Sun-Times' newsroom have rejected demands for deep pay cuts and work-rule changes, putting at risk a planned sale of the financially struggling newspaper to an investment group.
snip
Members of the Chicago Newspaper Guild were asked to lock in temporary 15% compensation cuts and agree to wiping out seniority rules and reducing severance guarantees.
The union rejected those demands 83-22 Tuesday. Sun-Times Media Chairman Jeremy Halbreich has told workers that a rejection will mean the end of the company.
“In yesterday's news, the Chicago Newspaper Guild voted to put the Sun-Times out of business and eliminate their own jobs as well as the jobs of all employees of the Sun-Times.
For unknown reasons, union membership has declined from a high of 36% of workers in the 1940's to a current low of 12%. More on this news later.”
A provocative full-page newspaper ad from Fox News drew heated reactions from its rivals today and one demand that The Washington Post apologize for running it.
Over photos of protesters gathering for an "anti-tax" rally in Washington last Saturday, the ad asked:
"How Did ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and CNN Miss This Story?"
The problem with the ad is that the other networks indeed covered the protest, which -- like similar demonstrations across the country -- were heavily promoted by Fox, especially talk show host Glenn Beck.
The ad appeared Friday in the Wall Street Journal and New York Post, both owned by Fox's parent company, and in The Washington Post.
ABC spokesman Jeffrey Schneider described the ad as "outrageous and false."
NBC spokeswoman Lauren Kapp said that "the facts . . . prove it wrong."
CNN spokeswoman Edie Emery called the ad "blatantly false."
Is ACORN Intentionally Structured As a Criminal Enterprise?" is the title of a July 2009 U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform report by Congressman Darrell Issa.
The report draws some shocking conclusions: "The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now has repeatedly and deliberately engaged in systemic fraud.
Both structurally and operationally, ACORN hides behind a paper wall of nonprofit corporate protections to conceal a criminal conspiracy on the part of its directors..."
It is a shocking statement to absorb: "to conceal a criminal conspiracy."
Yet you won't see this on your TV unless you happen to be watching Fox News. Others are refusing to report this corruption.
SEIU Head Andy Stern Blasts Patriots: "Anti-American; Teab****rs; Right Wing Attack Dogs..."
Andy Stern, President of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) issued a poorly timed press release this afternoon that nevertheless blasts patriots with both rhetorical barrels.
Anti-American, right wing extremists, right wing attack dogs, teab*****s, cruel, venomous, Glenn Beck, Fox News. Stern hurls every eptithet in the liberal handbook except racist. Maybe he's waiting to play the race card until next week.
SEIU put out the press release at 1:33 p.m. this Friday, a time when official Washington and the media are trying to shut down for the weekend.
Friday afternoon and evening is when pros try to release news they want buried and ignored.
ACORN whistleblower faces $5 million lawsuit Is woman who exposed voter fraud now fighting retaliation attack?
Project Vote, an affiliate of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which became entangled in charges of voter fraud and "tainting" the presidential election, is suing a former employee who testified against ACORN last year to the tune of $5 million.
ACORN became a hot-button issue in the 2008 presidential race because of Barack Obama's ties to the group as well as its own admission that more than 400,000 of the 1.3 million voter registrations it claims to have collected were not valid.
She explained that ACORN acted as an unofficial arm of the Democratic Party during the recent election and used cash operations to keep some financial transactions under wraps.
"It has always been a Democrat operation," she said. "They've never made any secrets about who they support.
Their political action committees are usually set up to support these Democratic candidates."
According to a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review report, she further told the Pennsylvania court before the election that the Obama camp provided ACORN with a "donor list" that enabled Project Vote to solicit contributions from Obama supporters who had "maxed out" under federal contribution limits but who could surreptitiously give more to Obama's cause by donating to ACORN and its affiliates.
You lie? No. Barack Obama doesn't lie. He's too subtle for that. He . . well, you judge.
Herewith three examples within a single speech -- the now-famous Obama-Wilson "you lie" address to Congress on health care -- of Obama's relationship with truth.
(1) "I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits -- either now or in the future," he solemnly pledged. "I will not sign it if it adds one dime to the deficit, now or in the future. Period."
Wonderful. The president seems serious, veto-ready, determined to hold the line.
Until, notes Harvard economist Greg Mankiw, you get to Obama's very next sentence: "And to prove that I'm serious, there will be a provision in this plan that requires us to come forward with more spending cuts if the savings we promised don't materialize."
This apparent strengthening of the pledge brilliantly and deceptively undermines it.
What Obama suggests is that his plan will require mandatory spending cuts if the current rosy projections prove false.
But there's absolutely nothing automatic about such cuts. Every Congress is sovereign. Nothing enacted today will force a future Congress or a future president to make any cuts in any spending, mandatory or not.
Just look at the supposedly automatic Medicare cuts contained in the Sustainable Growth Rate formula enacted to constrain out-of-control Medicare spending.
Every year since 2003, Congress has waived the cuts.
Mankiw puts the Obama bait-and-switch in plain language.
"Translation: I promise to fix the problem. And if I do not fix the problem now, I will fix it later, or some future president will, after I am long gone. I promise he will. Absolutely, positively, I am committed to that future president fixing the problem. You can count on it.
Obama's never found guilty by association (The National Post)
Suppose it was revealed that the pastor who had married George and Laura Bush, baptized their two daughters and ministered to their spiritual needs for 20 years was a raving white supremacist who, from the pulpit, preached the separation of the races, claimed that the promiscuity of African-Americans had quickened the spread of AIDS and mused about how America might be improved if black people were sent back to Africa.
Or what if Mr. Bush, while president, had appointed an admitted neo-Nazi to a senior advisory post within his administration, a man who openly endorsed the use of child labour in Third World sweatshops and accused all Muslims of being terrorists or terrorist sympathizers hellbent on the destruction of Western civilization?
Or how about former vice-president Dick Cheney, the American left's favourite dark prince?
What if it were revealed he had been one of eight members of a foundation board that had also included an ex-mercenary who, while never convicted of an assassination, nonetheless boasted about of having shot at several Third World leaders and lamented aloud how he'd wished he'd done more?
The leftist blogosphere would never believe that Messrs. Bush and Cheney were unaware of the radical positions taken by these associates.
Lefty bloggers like Daily Kos and Moveon.orgwould see these affiliations as proof positive of a secret Evangelical- fascist agenda submerged deep within the administration bent on provoking wars of aggression for commercial gain.
And the bloggers would be cheered from the sidelines by CNN, the New York Times, CNBC, CBS and National Public Radio.
Now what if on top of all this, it was revealed that George Bush had once done work for an organization that then stuffed ballot boxes to get him elected and routinely counselled clients on how to cheat on their taxes?
A reporter for an Indiana newspaper has been indicted on charges she embezzled $18,000 from the Gary Newspaper Guild, the U.S. Attorney's office says. Karen Snelling, 50, of Chicago faces one charge of embezzlement after a grand jury in South Bend determined there was evidence of a crime, the Gary (Ind.) Post-Tribune reported Friday.
Snelling is accused of making $17,500 in unauthorized withdrawals from the guild's bank accounts while serving as treasurer. She also is accused of using $600 in union funds for personal purposes.
The U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Attorney's office have been investigating the matter for more than a year.
"The irony of public watchdogs becoming the victim of fraud by one of our own was not wasted on us," says Andy Grimm, guild president.
"We were all mortified by Karen's prolonged betrayal and deceit."
CBS Disguises Single-Payer Group's 45,000 Deaths Claim as a 'Harvard' Study (Brent Baker)
Trying to boost the rationale for ObamaCare, Thursday's CBS Evening News ran two stories from far-left sources, but the network disguised the agenda behind both. Katie Couric announced that “while the debate goes on over the cost of insuring everyone, a new study reveals the cost of not doing it.
The Harvard study says nearly 45,000 American deaths every year are linked to a lack of insurance.”
Neither she, nor reporter Jim Axelrod, noted that the report was really produced by Physicians for a National Health Program, “the only national physician organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to implementing a single-payer national health program.”
Obama Admin: Cap And Trade Could Cost Families $1,761 A Year (CBS)
The Obama administration has privately concluded that a cap and trade law would cost American taxpayers up to $200 billion a year, the equivalent of hiking personal income taxes by about 15 percent.
A previously unreleased analysis prepared by the U.S. Department of Treasury says the total in new taxes would be between $100 billion to $200 billion a year. At the upper end of the administration's estimate, the cost per American household would be an extra $1,761 a year.
White House collects Web users' data without notice (Washington Times)
The White House is collecting and storing comments and videos placed on its social-networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube without notifying or asking the consent of the site users, a failure that appears to run counter to President Obama's promise of a transparent government and his pledge to protect privacy on the Internet.
Marc Rotenberg, president of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, said the White House signaled that it would insist on open dealings with Internet users and, in fact, should feel obliged to disclose that it is collecting such information.
"The White House has not been adequately transparent, particularly on how it makes use of new social media techniques, such as this example," he said.
Queens 'Qaeda' raid amid 'confession' (7 NYC bomb plot Muslims now in custody) NY Post
In a second stunning terror sweep this week, seven associates of a suspected al Qaeda bomb-maker were taken into custody yesterday -- as their cohort reportedly admitted to taking bomb training from al Qaeda and playing a key role in planning an attack here.
The FBI detained the seven confederates of Najibullah Zazi, 24 -- whose recent, pre-Sept. 11 appearance in New York sparked raids Monday at every Queens home he visited -- over the associates' alleged role in a suspected bomb plot, law-enforcement sources told The Post.
The seven Queens residents had been under 24-hour surveillance since the earlier raids, and some of them already had their homes searched, sources said. There were no criminal charges as of late last night.
Feds probe alleged terrorists who tried to rent giant truck in suspected Al Qaeda bomb plot NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
"Feds probe alleged terrorists who tried to rent giant truck in suspected Al Qaeda bomb plot"
Investigators probed a failed Queens truck rental for ties to a possible Al Qaeda bomb plot yesterday as a chief terror suspect tried making a deal to save his skin.
The New York end of the expanding federal probe centered on seven Afghan men who tried to rent the biggest truck at a Queens U-Haul on Sept. 9, sources told the Daily News.
The size of the vehicle involved - a 26-foot-long truck - suggested the conspirators wanted to pack it with explosives, sources said.
Man accused of beheading wife to use psychiatric defense (AP)
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A man accused of beheading his wife at the television station they founded to counter stereotypes of Muslims is likely to claim emotional distress was behind the killing in hopes of avoiding a murder conviction.
Muzzammil Hassan, 45, is scheduled to be tried in January on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan.
A psychiatric defense would allow jurors to find him guilty of a lesser charge of manslaughter, according to Hassan’s attorney, who made his plans known during a pretrial conference Friday.
“Extreme emotional disturbance is not an insanity defense,” attorney James Harrington said afterward. “It’s related to the state of mind of the person at the time.”
Mother strangled daughter in self-defence, says lawyer (Calgary Herald) Honor killings are now self-defense?
CALGARY - A mother accused of strangling her teenage daughter with a scarf was acting in selfdefence, her lawyer said Monday.
Mark Tyndale, who represents Aset Magomadova, pointed to a statement of agreed facts entered in the second-degree murder trial.
He said 14-year-old Aminat Magomadova, who died Feb. 26, 2007, had been "habitually running away from home, boasting that she was using drugs, being sexually active and stealing" --behaviour that caused stress for the rest of the Muslim family.

According to the agreed facts, Aset made phone calls to Austria and did not call 911 for about an hour after Aminat's death.
Rush gains listeners while MSM tanks. The old lying media still doesn't get the fact that the truth matters. --- State-Run Media Sidestep Limbaugh Ratings Victory RUSH WHO? In Ratings Coverage, Number One Host Nearly Left Out Brian Maloney
Excerpt: Yes, the release of Arbitron radio ratings for August 2009 created quite a stir in Los Angeles last week when it was revealed that AM news-talk giant KFI had moved into first place.
But judging by the coverage in the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register and Los Angeles Business Journal, this feat was somehow accomplished without the help of the medium's star performer, Rush Limbaugh.
In covering the achievement, the latter two publications didn't even mention Rush, while the Times noted Limbaugh only in passing deep into one story and left him out of another entirely.
Is it really that hard to admit Rush could be so popular in their own backyard?

DNC promises 'rain of hellfire' Politico, by Mike Allen
The increasingly aggressive Democratic National Committee on Friday launched a new “Call ’Em Out” website targeting prominent Republicans for statements they have made about President Barack Obama’s health reform plans. “Help debunk the outrageous lies and misinformation about health reform,” the site says. DNC spokesman Hari Sevugan said: “The message to opponents of change who would lie or misrepresent the truth should be clear.

In the wake of Fox News reporting on the unfolding ACORN scandal, ACORN is now threatening to sue the network. Now that Fox is actually breaking news on this story by showing new videos, ACORN might just do it. Fox News should pray that ACORN does sue, because it would blow the doors off this story, possibly destroying ACORN and erupting into a political scandal in Washington.
-ACORN Scandal Has Deep Roots- Newspaper Enterprise Association by Kathryn Lopez
ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is a scandal. This story has become breaking news lately thanks to some recent guerilla journalism. But the problems of ACORN represent a broader, and even more scandalous idea: the conventional acceptance of the left's self-righteous claims to having a monopoly on all politics, policy and lifestyles that are good.

Feds probe alleged terrorists who tried to rent giant truck in suspected Al Qaeda bomb plot
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

State-Run Media Sidestep Limbaugh Ratings Victory
RUSH WHO?
In Ratings Coverage, Number One Host Nearly Left Out
Brian Maloney
Excerpt:
Yes, the release of Arbitron radio ratings for August 2009 created quite a stir in Los Angeles last week when it was revealed that AM news-talk giant KFI had moved into first place.

Who taught you to lie, call people names, and accuse people of racism?
American Thinker
by Scott Strzelczyk
Where did the Democratic Congress, the Obama administration, and the main stream media learn to act so rudely, obnoxiously, and disingenuously; to call people names, treat others without any common courtesy or manners, and above all else to be deceptive and lie to citizens of the United States?
Andrew Breitbart, Patriot of the Year! However, the Fringe Media aka MSM want us to believe he is just a right-wing nutcase. Too bad people didn’t realize how corrupt the MSM was before the election, Obama would not be president.

*The Media Genius Of Andrew Breitbart*
Accuracy In Media, by K. Daniel Glover
There is a humorous cartoon at Lucianne.com. It shows a chart of Obama’s falling approval ratings, and wording that he is nationalizing all public opinion surveys, and appointing a survey czar.
When you stop and think about it, how farfetched is that cartoon?
DNC promises 'rain of hellfire'
Politico, by Mike Allen
The increasingly aggressive Democratic National Committee on Friday launched a new “Call ’Em Out” website targeting prominent Republicans for statements they have made about President Barack Obama’s health reform plans. “Help debunk the outrageous lies and misinformation about health reform,” the site says. DNC spokesman Hari Sevugan said: “The message to opponents of change who would lie or misrepresent the truth should be clear.
Oh yeah, bring it on!
Let's see if Obama fits into the ACORN activities scandal.

ACORN threatens to
open Pandora's box
Politico
Ken Blackwell-Keith Klukowski
In the wake of Fox News reporting on the unfolding ACORN scandal, ACORN is now threatening to sue the network. Now that Fox is actually breaking news on this story by showing new videos, ACORN might just do it. Fox News should pray that ACORN does sue, because it would blow the doors off this story, possibly destroying ACORN and erupting into a political scandal in Washington.
-ACORN Scandal Has Deep Roots-
Newspaper Enterprise Association by Kathryn Lopez
ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is a scandal. This story has become breaking news lately thanks to some recent guerilla journalism. But the problems of ACORN represent a broader, and even more scandalous idea: the conventional acceptance of the left's self-righteous claims to having a monopoly on all politics, policy and lifestyles that are good.
“Warning lights are blinking for Democrats”
Commentary Magazine
by Peter Wehner
As a companion piece to Charlie Cook’s analysis, which Jen drew attention to, National Journal’s Ron Brownstein, reporting from the Mountain West, finds that: amid a fierce conservative backlash against President Obama’s agenda, Democrats face an escalating challenge to defend those advances in 2010. (Snip) … with Bush gone and Obama in the White House, warning lights are blinking for Democrats across the Mountain states.
7:53 -- "Rain of hellfire" ????
Imagine if a Tea Party protester put that on a sign.
Any minute and Nancy Pelosi, the enforcer of polite political discussion, will call the DNC on their violent rhetoric.
Obama still shilling for Acorn, it will be interesting to see if he removes ACORN from the Gov. site paid for by taxpayers.

Taxpayer Funded Serve.gov Filtering Activists to ACORN
by Dana Loesch
The Obama Administration has placed a large premium on what it calls "national service." It has launched a website, www.Serve.gov, that is reported to act as a clearing house for Americans eager to "give back" to their communities. Unfortunately, Americans looking for an opportunity to volunteer may get...

Unemployment in California at 12%,
Highest in Nearly 70 Years

“The Media Genius Of Andrew Breitbart
Buckle up, he's just getting started. More to come next week.”

Breibart has a new ACORN bombshell coming next week? The ‘Fringe” media are in a tizzy, to think they don’t control the discussion? That there could be news reporting without them? My oh my, what next? The truth being published? Why, how did that happen?
The true unemployment rate in California is around 20 percent, not the phony 12 percent the government makes up. And one out of every three welfare recipients in the entire country, live in California!! The state is a steaming pile of fecal matter and its lawmakers are more corrupt and clueless than ACORN. A once great state shows what liberal dominance in its Capitol can do.
Fox News is creaming its competition daily and becoming the go-to news source for more and more Americans. I like the term "Fringe Media" instead of mainstream media. It's actually true and very deserving. Once Fox moves Glenn Beck to prime time, viewership will go Crazytown and MSNBC might as well fold tent.
Obama fudging another health-care horror story? (Yes, Barry Lies Again)

Mr. & Mrs. Barry Soetoro are liars. So what's new?
Yesterday, a Dumpocrat pollster admitted that Obamacare is doing so poorly in some states, he was asked to not poll that state. Isn’t that a shot of realism the ‘Fringe’ media doesn’t want well known?
