Tribute for departing KC Star sports writer

We should all keep in mind that these newspapers are not monoliths. Certainly the management teams seem to be cut from the same cloth, but the very fact that these are newspapers in major cities would suggest that they do have (had) access to some very talented people who would like nothing better than to commit acts of journalism, but are thwarted by their higher ups. This to me is one of the gravest crimes these rags commit.
