Anchorage Daily News looking for press operator

Anchorage Daily News is advertising for a press operator. From the announcement:

Description:

The Anchorage Daily News, Alaska’s #1 media source, is seeking a full time Press Operator. The Press Operator will operate and maintain printing presses and all associated equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Setup and operate the press consoles.
· Set-up and adjust folder.
· Set up and operate the press units.
· Load rolls, lead webs, make all reel adjustments.
· Make all running adjustments to the press, tension, nips, angle bars, conductivity, sidelay, etc.
· Perform required press maintenance and fill out maintenance requests as needed.
· Insure proper ink density and registration is set to department standards and maintained during the press run.
· Complete daily checklist and other press forms as needed.


Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED
· Good mechanical aptitude
· Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
· Ability to work nights

Funny they didn't mention being only one of four operators for 7 days a week. You'd have satisfaction of a job well done though.
