The McClatchy Company is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant in our finance office to support the corporate internal audit, information technology, and controller’s departments.
This position performs advanced administrative support activities to the departments, arranging travel, internal and external meetings, scheduling interviews and appointments; preparing and editing confidential documents, preparing presentations, reports & correspondence; updating files, maintaining supply inventory, answering phone calls, greeting visitors and processing requests for information and assistance. Responsibilities also include analyzing and preparing invoices, budgets and other accounts payable documents for routine payables; balancing audit project summaries to the general ledger and other basic accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualified applicants will have a High school diploma or GED, some community or business college courses preferred, and 3-5 years of intermediate secretarial and administrative work experience or a combination of both education and experience. Intermediate computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook and knowledge of general office practices/operations and knowledge of current office equipment operation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to interact with all levels of management and maintain effective working relationships.
