This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Newspapers look to outsource news editor jobs, photo editor jobs, and copy editor jobs
If you read the comments on this outsourcing story, there's one that points the finger at McClatchy as one of the chains about to do this crap:
"Mindworks has been doing some (mostly substandard) copy editing of wire stories for the Miami Herald, so McClatchy is probably one of the two large publishing groups with which the company is in "advanced" stages of negotiation."
Another comment says Features, National and International news sections are most likely to be completely outsourced, leaving only a small local news hole to be filled by in-house staff.

Why not. They have already outsourced reporting news to Blogs.
