The State (Columbia, SC) looking for a press operator

The State newspaper is advertising for a press operator.  From the ad:

Description:

Operates in all areas of plate, reel and pressroom functions, including loading newsprint, installing plates, and operating press console, folder and ink-setting system. Performs routine maintenance of press, mixes ink, operates water and ink controls, inspects paper visually for quality. Cleans press units and related components.


Requirements:

Two years lithograhpic or offset print and knowledge of ink mixing and process color procedures required. Goss Headiner Offset/Metro press and folder experience preferred.  Excellent mathematical aptitude, mechanical and communication skills are essential. Must be able to lift up to 90 pounds and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Work schedule rotates five nights per week, including weekends. Shift typically starts at 8:30 p.m. and runs until approximately 4 a.m.
