As coalition and Iraqi troops continue to kill terrorists and disrupt their networks, there are signs that militant islamic groups in Iraq are splintering. A Sunni militant group known as the Iraqi Jihad Union has lashed out at Al Qaeda, issuing a statement accusing Al Qaeda of killing and mutilating the bodies of Sunni insurgents. Just a few months ago, this group was conducting joint operation with Al Qaeda Iraq.
