McClatchy admits Iraq violence way down in 2007

McClatchy Washington Bureau provides the chart above, which shows violence in Iraq is down across the board: US military deaths are down, car bomb attacks are down, deaths by explosions are down, the the number of bodies found is down.
The drop in violence is no surprise to people who have been reading the milblogs and alternative sources of media.
I wonder if McClatchy reporter Nancy Youssef, who wrote Friday's article on the dramatic drop in violence, will do a follow-up piece on the politicians and pundits and reporters and media elites who predicted the surge would fail.
