Approximately 1,000 sheiks and local leaders, including Iraqi police and military leaders, US military representatives, and Sunni and Shia leaders, gathered at an Iraqi Police station in Nassir Wa Salam on December 6. They discussed ways to bring the region back to the government of Iraq.
