Belgium is on alert after 5 Muslim jihadists were jailed relative to their involvement in a terror cell that sent Muriel Degaugue, a pretty Belgian baker's assistant, to die in Iraq. Counterterrorism Blog:
On November 9, 2005 Degauque became Al Qaeda’s first western female suicide bomber in Iraq when she drove an explosives-laden vehicle into an American military convoy on a highway north of Baghdad.
Muriel Degauque, who reportedly had a normal childhood, converted to Islam while in her 30s. The 2nd photo above is an undated picture of Degaugue after her conversion to Islam. She blew herself up near a U.S. patrol in Iraq in November 2005. No US troops were killed in the suicide bombing. Rantburg here.
