McClatchy MNI shares closed at $9.59 Tuesday, down 49 cents from Friday’s close. That is a drop of 4.86% on the day. For perspective, the DOW was down 1.06% on the day. MNI may have taken an extra hard hit due to concerns of industry-wide problems. Today, rival Lee said its quarterly profit fell 17 percent to 22.1 million, or 49 cents a share.
