This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

McClatchy executives at conference in beautiful San Diego
Michael Cabanatuan at Media Guild Blog reports McClatchy execs are holding their annual editors and publishers conference in sunny San Diego. Of course, McClatchy doesn't have a newspaper in that city. The executives have alot to talk about. For starters, they can talk about McClatchy's stock price being at a 17-year low. The future of CEO Gary Pruitt might be another hot topic. The board publicly supports him but he can't stay at the helm if McClatchy's performance doesn't improve soon.
