Rule #1 in competition: Don't underestimate your adversary. Look at Saddam Hussein's blunder in miscalculating George Bush. After his capture, Saddam Hussein was interviewed by George Piro, the FBI agent assigned to interrogate him. Saddam Hussein told Piro he didn't think George Bush would actually launch an invasion of Iraq. Hussein calculated Bush would merely launch a series of air strikes against Iraq, then stop.
