Al Gore refueling his gas-guzzling jet for another trip... Gore will jet across the country for another award

Al Gore, the inventor of the internet and the High Priest of Global Warming, is gearing up for another cross-country trip to deliver a speech and accept an award. From Business Wire:

The RSA Conference today announced that Nobel Laureate and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore will be the closing keynote speaker at RSA Conference 2008 – taking place April 7-11, 2008, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Gore’s keynote speech will be held on Friday, April 11, at 2:15 P.M.

“We are thrilled to welcome a former U.S. Vice President and one of the world’s largest champions of the environment to RSA Conference 2008,” said Sandra Toms LaPedis, area vice president and general manager of RSA Conference.

“Considering the progress and timely relevance of advancements in green technology, we are eager to hear Al Gore’s compelling exploration into cutting-edge innovations. His addition is particularly exciting because we have now rounded out what has become one of the strongest keynote lineups in recent Conference history.”

After serving as the 45th Vice President of the United States, Al Gore became a prominent environmental activist. He is the author of An Inconvenient Truth, a best-selling book on the threat of and solutions to global warming, and the subject of the movie of the same title, which received Academy Awards and has become one of the top documentary films in history. Gore was awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for efforts to build and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and for laying a foundation of recommendations that are needed to counteract such change.

Gore joins a prestigious lineup of keynote speakers that includes best-selling author and journalist Malcolm Gladwell, as well as security company founders, researchers, managers, architects, strategists, boardchairmen, vice presidents and chief executive officers.
