Iraqi Army making major strides

The remarkable progress being made by the Iraqi Army is largely ignored by McClatchy and the US media. To find out what is really happening, you need to go to alternative news sources. Yesterday, DVIDS published an outstanding story about the Iraqi Army using Osprey helicopters. As usual, the DVIDS story includes compelling pictures. Read the story here.

The above photo shows Iraqi army soldiers preparing to go on a patrol on March 18 in the Hawron Wadi, which is just east of Baghdad, Iraq, after exiting an MV-22 Osprey. (Photo credit: Gunnery Sgt. Jason Bortz, Regimental Combat Team-5, 1st Marine Division Public Affairs.)
