Obama double standard

After Don Imus used a racial slur to describe Rutgers women basketball players, Barack Obama weighed in against Imus and racist slurs:

"I understand MSNBC has suspended Mr. Imus," Obama told ABC News, "but I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude."
This year Jeremiah Wright referred to Condoleeza Rice as "Conda-skeeza Rice" (a street term meaning whore) and "Con-damn-nesia Rice." Wright also called Clarence Thomas "Clarence Colon Thomas."
.
The reaction from Barack "Nobody would be working for me if they made a comment like that" Obama?

Obama's first reaction was to stand by Wright. In his Philadelphia speech Obama said some of Wright's past comments were divisive but Obama said he could no more abandon Wright than he could abandon his white grandmother who had made racially insensitive comments. It was only after the firestorm caused by Wright's April 28 Press Club appearance that Obama abandoned Wright.
