McClatchy coverage follows DNC-choreographed performances, misses the real news

I warned you that McClatchy and the MSM wouldn't give you the real news coming out of Denver. The DNC convention has barely started and McClatchy has already failed readers who want to know more than what is going on inside the Pepsi Arena.

McClatchy reporters act like they are NBC analysts in China covering a gymnastics floor routine. Look at some of the "coverage" by McClatchy over the past 2 days:

"Emotional opening in Denver as Kennedy passes the torch " by Steven Thomma. (Thomma is the guy who will quote 5 Democrats in an article but can't seem to locate a Republican.) The judges give high marks to Kennedy and the Dems for playing to the heartstrings and pleasing the crowd.

"Behind the scenes, Pelosi has her work cut out" by Peter Hecht. Hecht told readers about Pelosi's exciting new book -- but forgot to mention nobody is buying the book. But the judges are sure to give Pelosi's performance inside the Pepsi Arena high marks for artistic merit.

"Michelle Obama launches her husband's new narrative" by Obama booster William Douglas. Did you know Monday night was designed to showcase the Obamas softer side? Well it was, according to William Douglas. This skilled performance by Michelle is sure to keep the Dems in gold medal contention.

"Barack Obama watches his wife on TV" by Margaret Talev, who is with Obama's media pool. Here is an excerpt from her piece on Obama watching his wife deliver her speech:

As Michelle Obama walked onstage her husband turned toward the pool and camera crew and said "it's nerve-racking" and smiled. Then he turned back to the tv and said, "she's pretty cute."
Penetrating analysis right there. About a 3.0 degree of difficulty.

"Can Hillary Clinton persuade her followers to back Obama?" by Steven Thomma. This is the exciting event tonite! I'm sure McClatchy readers can't wait for McClatchy's accounting of Hillary's performance.

That's about it from McClatchy. McClatchy readers got news about the choreography inside the Pepsi Center but had no idea what else was going on in Denver. If you want to really know what is going on, you need to read alternative media and blogs.

If you follow alternative media here's a sample of what you learned:

Conservative blogger/pundit Michelle Malkin was attacked by a conspiracy kook and other protesters Monday.

There was a riot in Denver on Monday night. More on the mob here.

Hillary is drawing attention to herself by reminding Democrats she got 18 million votes.

Obama campaign threatens TV stations who show Obama/Ayers ad. (Where are the free speech groups??)

Denver bishop scolds Biden over abortion.

Obama’s support has dropped in each of the last three individual nights of polling.

Anarchists t-shirts and buttons for sale.

UPDATE: Unexpected surprise!... McClatchy's Steven Thomma posted a piece this morning -- "Throw the flag against: Michelle Obama. Call: Illegal shift "-- that points out Michelle Obama's claims about giving up a lucrative career for public service aren't exactly true.
